I've tried to take a screenshot, but the screenshots in mame come out as if there were no filters....meh I guess HQxx does not fit with my mame. More importantly, how much memory does your video card have and how much RAM do you have? Processor speed really isn't the issue compared to those two. And actually I've heard about others that use the mame I use having problems with some blitter filters, so I am guessing it has to do with my mame itself. Btw, I am using EK-mame, which is compiled by Koreans.
