Well for part 1..in My Computer with Windows..click..

1) Tools
2) Folder Options
3) View TAB
4) DESELECT Hide extensions for known file types

Then click apply and then ok.
Now you can rename the rom files and change the extensions by just right clicking on them and clicking rename, Windows style. ;)

Hey GC,Can't See Tools,Where Is It T_T forgive me i am just a sixth grade T_T

It's in My Computer (the window, box, mainframe), I'm running Windows XP, so it may be different for you.
What you basically want to load up is the box called Folder Options. :)
