MESSUI 0.179 has been released and is available at the usual place:

http://messui.1emulation.com/

Changes:

- Restored ability to modify sourcename.ini which was removed in 0.144

- Restored support to read horizont.ini, vertical.ini, vector.ini, parent.ini, grandparent.ini, which were removed in 0.144

- Added support to read arcade.ini, console.ini, computer.ini and othersys.ini

- Because parent.ini can contain loaded devices and software, which can cause issues to clones, these items cannot be inherited.

- Changes to code to support new core swpath parameter, replacing the comment_directory workaround.

-- This means you will have to set up your software paths again.

- Added a switch in the View menu to hide/show the software panel. When hidden, it looks very similar to MAMEUI.

MAMEUI 0.179 has been released and is available at the above link.

Changes:

- Restored ability to modify sourcename.ini which was removed in 0.178 (it hadn't worked for some months prior).

- This is the last release in this form.

There's no new release of HBMAME at this time.

Upcoming news:

- Currently MESSUI is available in 3 forms:

-- Full version, all arcade and MESS, released monthly

-- MESS-only version, released monthly

-- MESS-only bleeding-edge version, 32-bit only, released approximately every 1-2 weeks.

- From now, the monthly MESS-only version will no longer be released.

- At 0.180, the current GUI for MAMEUI will be retired. The full version of MESSUI will be renamed to MAMEUI.

Should be useful for the 180 release, to add a folder in the left panel for arcade only games (Currently there are folders for computers and consoles).

Thanks for the great job keeping this projects alive :)

Hello

Thank you for your help !

Compile fine with mame master sources and mameui sources.

Compile fine with messui master sources !!

Must forget the ui sources for the moment with official mamedev sources.

Thanks
