A600 does it again, this time with a port of the pc arcade emulator Raine.

What is raine.

This is a port by A600 of Raine to the Xbox. Raine is a arcade emulator which emulates some games which use M68000 or M68020 CPU's. The main focus is on emulating Taito and Jaleco games. The emulator is well written and is capable of emulating some games which MAME can't emulate. Some games which are playable with this emulator are classics like Operation Wolf and Darius.

info on this port.

This is a port for the Xbox1 of Raine, a very fast arcade emulator, coded by Antiriad and Emmanuel Anne (Tux) (if you like the emu, consider donating to him as a way of saying thanks for his hard work) and possible thanks to the SDLx libs by lantus.

For more info about Raine, check http://rainemu.swishparty.co.uk/

NOTES

- Copy the roms to the \roms folder.

- The xRaine.dat is a dat file for clrmamepro.

TODO

I haven't tested it yet but, in theory, this should be able to run Taito F3 games (such as Land Maker) faster than MAME.

Excellent news :)

If they can be added to coinOPS it will be the baset :D

Thanks

Well, I know that Elevator Action 2 1994 Taito 4 has some issues in MAME. Its nothing huge, but when you shoot a light it doesn't make the building go dark as it should. Also, on stock Xbox systems, the game runs at 40-or-so FPS - rather than 60FPS. It will be interesting to see if Raine runs it better and without these issues.

In any case, the work is much appreciated A600! I'm sure it will be a nice companion to CoinOps.

And let's hope it also has perfect pixel of course. :)

yeah I dont see any that arnt in mame......and havent been in for years...not sure where you got that info from fum hope its not passing on misinformation :D anyways cheers another mame on xbox to compair CoinOPS to....or have both maybe

a few games are a bit more optomised and not many....but the statement about not running in mame seems to be misinformation....im picking not many people will run both emu in the general public just a hunch.....I wont be personally....still a good thing for the eclectic people
