80percent though testing console & handheld games to showcase level

Will we be able to add console games to showroom ourselves?

We can add them into coinops X as the guys have done all the work to make em play, you just need to rename the rom to how it looks in the txt file, I added steven segal the final option... its awesome !

Struggling on one thing though.... how do I take a screen shot of snes, megadrive, GB, and other games?

thanks

well you cant take screenshots of console or handeld games just the the mame stuff unfortunately, different cores you see.

apart from the screenshots that are provided in downlaod links i gave you for the console and handheld stuff.i noticed that zsnexbox takes screenshots in .png format so for snes games you could take a screenshot of the same game and then rename it to the match coinops snes romname and then move it to your screenshots folder in coinops as coinops uses .png format for screenshots as well.

not sure about the xport stuff though.you could try it anyway with neogenesis to see if it will work.

I really want to get onto the testing phase for now....you are right ive got alot to do...everything is possible its just my time and help is limited

ill think about what you say but its more down to an order of doing stuff..theres so much more that can be done...

maybe you can get madmab to hand over his source for pixel perfect and ill add it if you want....his emulators aparently have this in and he would have thought about more than me...ill put it in if he lets you...just get the cpp off him and ill add it in

madmab's pixel code sounds interesting Brit, but I doubt he'd give me his sources since I've never even spoken to the guy before. Perhaps if someone like Cospefogo or rx (a person he trusts) made the request we'd have better luck with that.

XML locking and button remapping would still be huge improvements even without access to his code, imo. I think a lot of people would be happy with that.

Ok Brit...

The lists I'm going to share with you are for NES, SNES, Genesis+Addons, and PC Engine. There may be a small number of games you already have listed, but they've been renamed so that they and their sequels share a matching naming convention. I've noticed that you've omitted RPG, Adventure, and most Strategy games from your list, but I've included those for you anyway. This takes time so I'll update each list as time permits.

Hello,

I noticed one possible bug with CoinOps. I just played through Double Dragon. Right after I beat the final boss with the machine gun and his remaining henchmen ran to the exit, the game froze with a pink, blue, yellow and gray artifact pattern, similar to the sort that are displayed as an arcade game boots up.

Has anyone encountered (or can they reproduce) this? If so, any fix available? The rom I'm using is from Showcase.

Thanks again,

Phil

zhoul I reliased pixel perfect on colse stuff is very easy....so simple as its only one resoultion and I look at madmabs stuff I wouldnt add that as its nothing like coinops....

right now ive locked down a build for testing.... so im working my way though it in the next week...

to submit a game I need a screenshot and the actual coinops name or the name if its isnt in the CoinOPS list....huge lists wont be looked at as I dont have the time

I only use CoinOPS for arcade games, so the lists I was putting together were just to help you out since your current lists are missing some notable games. Maybe someone else can benefit from them. Who knows, maybe some unknown gem like "Ignition Factor," "Umihara Kawase," and "Famicom Detective Club Part II" might surprise a few people.

Is there any way to play music I added to my xbox while playing the games? And is there a definitive pack full of all the supported roms?

Also, sometimes the types of the games go away and just say unknown, is there a way to fix this?

and another quick question, will we ever be able to save/load like sega and nes emulators?

I love coinops, ive shown it to all my friends and had a blast. Keep up the good work!

Thanks,

Heugbr

cheers for everything zhoul.... can you bold the ones that arnt copies of arcades and arnt in my list and good games...i need to refine the lists...also non rpg

Heubr there is no function to play music in games and ill never add it....its a mem thing sorry...alot of great games are so close to the wire now mem wise

read the readme in the -FILES directory.....it has an faq to answer questions....the problem of unknow games..they arnt listed in the catver.ini or you shut dow the emu after the first boot with a forced shutdown and it didnt save the catversion file database....rescan the games from the basic settings then shut the emu down with the start menu option...or play a game it will then save the list....

save states are in all emulators....they save as per the console used to only....

You can add any emulator game you want

please guys read the readme...most of these questions are in there
