Is there a way to change your ip address?

Change it where? With your ISP? On your LAN? To your router?

Quite a vague question, and no your IP address isn't tied to any registration, though cookies can be which would require you to login again if that is the case.

Since you've asked such a vague question, I would suggest you Google some info on how IP addresses work and are assigned, as this is obviously WAY out of your scope of knowledge right now.

I'm being honest, like I always am, and don't intend to offend you.

You may not need to Google if you give this a read - http://www.tcpipguide.com/free/t_toc.htm

No, not all of it (Unless you're bored, there is ALOT of info there) but at least the fundamentals and specific information related to TCP/IP.

Changing it at your ISPs end MAY be feasible (Depending on how your ISP is set up, you can manually configure your IP address and it may stick). But that won't let sites not see your IP address.

Use a web proxy. Google web proxy and you should get plenty of useful results.

a web proxy will get you past an IP ban. have you tried restarting your modem? you may have a dynamic IP and not even know it.
