basilbr Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) As far as I can tell there are three free-roaming city games on the Wii. Godfather, Scarface and Driver Parallel Lines. Any suggestions as to which is the best out of the three, or if there are any other games in the style on Wii that are better? Devia Eleven Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Everyone has no acceptance for more than one game being in the free roaming genre. GTA was somewhat the first of it's kind, but when games like Godfather and Scarface were released, they were automatically labeled as being GTA rip-offs. GTA isn't perfect by a long shot, that's why there are going to be other games available for that genre besides GTA, because not everyone prefers it. basilbr Posted July 30, 2008 Author Share Posted July 30, 2008 Doesn't No More Heroes have some free-roaming aspects? yes it does, but because of, afaik, the structured nature of the destinations for missions/assassinations, the 'free-roaming' is more akin to Head-Hunter (dreamcast) than GTA3 or any of its subsequent influences. ps. doesn't seem like there is a specific 'best' free-roamer for the Wii then.
