Kimbo Vs Mitrione - ROund one was surprising. Kimbo had 3 big hard takedowns but ended up in 2 triangles and a gator roll. he managed to get out of all submission attempts though. Kimbo's ground and takedown are deffinately getting better. ROund 2 was all Mitrione. heavy leg kicks that imobilized Kimbo. then the mount. and punches. an americana attempt but he let it go in favor of more punches to stop the fight. Mitrione by TKO

 

Daly Vs Koscheck - Koscheck used his wrestling to keep the fight on the ground. Daly had no answers. 3 rounds of solid wrestling but not much action. after the fight was over as Koscheck was walking back to his corner Daly hit him with a sucker punch left hook and that is prolly the last you ever see of Daly in the UFC. anyways Koscheck 30-27, and Koscheck gets to coach the next season of the ultimate fighter against GSP.

 

Shogun Vs Machida 2 - Shogun worked the leg kick and Machida got a few takedown. but Shogun hit with a right hook over the top and Machida went down. Shogun drops down in mount and drops some bombs on Machida for the KO! New Light Heavy Weight Champion!

Machida got caught. I'm sure he will remain in contention. but next is whoever wins Rampage-Rashad. (Rampage!) and Shogun has already said he will fight Anderson at 205!

I thought Lyoto was doing everything right in this fight before raging in with that straight left. Not smart to wade in on a Chute Boxe fighter.

 

Shogun was not going to be denied that night!
