Here's an analogy for you. If you've ever seen a hot chick in a movie, googled her, and found her photoshoots, you're a hypocrite. If you've ever even gone to see a movie because of some hot actress, it's the same thing.

 

If you want to understand why folks look at hentai, think about that. You watch movies, kids watch anime. The difference is [insert anime girl here] doesn't go out and pose for FHM after the set closes.

If you look into it you'll find there's anime for all ages, it's not just kids though maybe that's all you've seen on TV, that kind of comment just furthers the ignorance that if its animated it must be for kids and ignores that regardless of the style somethings made in there can be many genres within, its like saying 'there's live action kids stuff so lets let little Johnny watch Super Death Kill Massacre 13' which has an 18/R+/whatevers high in your country rating. Slightly OT there sorry.

 

I disagree. The difference is the hentai girl is NOT REAL. You Google a woman you watch in a movie because she is a human being. You don't Google "anime actresses". Perhaps you may Google a character from a video game that you find awkwardly attractive. Either way, it's ridiculous.

i find it pretty dorky and sad for grown ass men to find anime and video game girls hot. but the worst thing is hentai often involves degrading and abusing women, incest, tentacles, huge monster wangs and tits, feces, ect.

Someones been watching the extreme end of things, especially towards the end of that comment, even I wouldn't watch stuff involving crap & I'm generally quite accepting of Japanese weirdness. In the end though if it floats yer boat and its not illegal &/or being shoved in my face go for it is my view.

Anime may have more graphic subject matter but it is still for kids and teens. If you think trivialised philosophy, contrived storytelling, excessive violence or sexual depravity passes for mature literature you're wrong. An R18 rating simply denotes some content is not appropriate for children- it does not mean you need any comprehension greater than a child's to enjoy it.

 

Not to say you can't enjoy anime at any age, but if you go off naming some pseudo-intellectual examples trying to pass it off as anything but frothy almost-melodramatic serial drama you're only fooling yourself.

Used to watch dat crap awhile back becuz they just had soo many frgiggin diff storylines.

Like u could be this magical fairy who gets her power from gettin laid(lol) but always finds a minute man and she keeps gettin pissed, lol!

Hentai has done everything in the book and real porn are still on the cable guy coming over to fix the TV of the breast-implanted wife who (just like hentai) the husband is always working. Let's get something out of the way here:

 

If a anime has female nudity, that doesn't make it hentai. What makes an anime hentai is the inclusion of sex, be that hardcore, softcore, bondage, tentacles, etc.

Anime that has female nudity or sexual overtones if ecchi and has nothing to do with hentai until it moves from simple T&A to the actual sex.

 

Back on track:

 

I don't watch hentai because the storylines are usually trash - same thing in "regular" porn. To be honest, watching porn all the time (no matter how it might fit one's personal fantasies) gets boring fairly quickly. Now, ecchi is my kind of thing, not primarily because of the T&A, but because it provides a great source of comedy as well as a way of creating Guy(s) VS. Girl(s) situations - I personally like that type of storytelling.

 

 

 

As far as the anime girls go, they are without exception, unnaturally beautiful, unless a girl was intentionally created to be "ugly", in which case said girl is almost always the comic relief or some of the background characters... or both.

Why are we only fooling ourselves? Just because it's drawn? If so, that's really hypocritical considering your previous argument. You've obviously never truly "felt" Cowboy Bebop.
