love doesn't always have to relate to sex and wanting to f*ck. to me love is like a higher level of relationship. u can love ur friends, family and other things. As long as the bond is strong enough, then ur in love.

For all the people that say it's just chemical in ur head. well everything in this world are just atoms then so i guess life isn't so worthy now is it? emotion is what makes human so different from other animals, the complexity of the way human feels is what makes love so special

Prime Minister: Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspision love actually is all around. - Love Actually

I, of course believe in love. It's a wonderful thing, be it a deep, passionate feeling or just a simple bond between two people that goes beyond the typical need for companionship. I love my family. My mother, father, brother and sister. I would do anything for them, same for the cats I've help raise. I love them as well.

Love isn't as rare as people like to think. Most weak minded, cynical people tend to become scrooges in their advanced years and like to shrug off love like it was something that never affected them. Love inspires us and love brought us into this world. No matter what, our human capacity to care so deeply about someone or something will always be what makes us such a unique species on this planet. Love gives us the strength to continue to become better individuals.

Agreed.

Co-Signed.

Ditto.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I applaud you for such a wondrous opinion. You sir, are a great man. :thumbsup1:

Love is indeed real. And it is great. Ever-so great. I urge each and everyone of you to get off your asses, seek, find, and share love as much as possible.

Ah, and GC, just because people use social networking sites and look at porn doesn't mean they're single. I'm not, and I still do.

And even tho I'm not much of an astrology-nut, I've found I can relate to the descriptions they give about my star sign on the internet to very high degree. Go Scorpios! :banghead:

For me, it's always been difficult to understand what "love" really is. Some say you'll know it when its there, which I can understand fully. At the same time, any man knows that once you're out (down there), reality seems much different for those few seconds to a minute. It's almost as if nobody matters, women don't matter, nothing really moves you.

Therefore, definitely love is more than sex. But the question is, have you ever felt that above and beyond feeling? Something that stays with you no matter if you're out, full, or ready to pop. :banghead:

I once had a teacher light years ago who would not agree that love really existed. He always proclaimed that it was simply like any other chemical reaction in the body and nothing more. I remember once I had a friend who asked me, "How long would you wait before you say you actually love this girl?" I said maybe about 1-2 weeks or maybe even a month. He laughed in my face proclaiming that it was way too soon and the woman would probably not be too keen on the word being used early in the relationship. Over time, it took me a while to understand when to say "I love you" to a woman. I think I got it down now though.

When is the right time to say "I love you" and when do you really understand love? Do you believe in love? Share your experiences.

Litte extra info on me. I Rant alot. but before I get started I wanna point out that its NEVER too soon to tell someone how you feel. though it doesnt have to be I love you right away either. good example. My mom met my dad at 17 and KNEW maybe 2 weeks into dating him that she wanted to marry him and give him children...Naturally my mom lived in oakland so this all happened within the first year f them meeting*Damn ANOTHER black joke. score.)

Moving on...I dont think anyone trully understands it. if they did we would be selling it on ebay or something. nope its definetly instinct in my opinion. Ive had a lot of relationships and only told one person I love you, I'm 25. I dont see myself getting any better at it..at the same time its a very awsome thing. hell I think I am in love with the Idea of being in love. the chase, the comfort, the anger...all that jazz just makes life feel flocking sweet. :thumbsup1:

I just had to add that in since I strongly believe other species capable of feeling love.

And judging by the millions of love songs that I enjoy so much, the poems, and other forms of expression due to this feeling it's so obvious that it's a real thing. And hey, who's to say millions of complicated chemical reactions can't make this possible?

As for knowing when the right time to say 'I love you' is... it's hard to say. "It dies so quickly, it grows so slowly."
