Cindy Posted June 9, 2008 Share Posted June 9, 2008 You always hear football is a guy thing but I don't believe it anymore. I live in a house with only males, and they all hate it. They don't even want to see their own country play..I'm stunned! And it's not that I only want to see 22 muscular bodys running over the field for 90 minutes..I think me and my (female) friends even have more knowledge of it then the average guy. Well, tonight I will get a Guinness at the pub and sing al those lame songs to support my team, we are so gonna win from the Italians And I'm wondering, because most of you are not European, do you follow this competition at all? It's boring if me and my friends aren't playing it and all I do is drink alcohol and watch some dudes kick a ball around. It's rather sad to be honest. I'd much rather watch a fighting game match-up, hang out with my comrades, head on down to the club and bust a move, or spend time with my girl. Soccer? Not for me, sorry. fumanchu Posted June 9, 2008 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Well heres a brit and it is FOOTBALL.Cindy i see your team has the hardest group,kind of a group of death.italy,holland,romania andfrance.thats a tough one to finish either 1st or 2nd.France and italy were pushed very hard for qualifying for this competition from my country Scotland,all we had to do was beat italy at home in glasgow to qualify for this tournament and just like it we lost 2-1. TYPICAL.but hey we beat france oveer in paris,the first team to do that in years,so it aint all that bad.Axl i might be wrong but arent you from Romania,thought you might have a bit of interest in this group.Holland can qualify can win this group their good enough but with italy and france their its a tough one to call.one good thing about this tournament no ENGLAND WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!I wouldnt write off Romania from qualifying from this group,their what you would call a bit of a dark horse.you dont know what to expect from them as they have nothing to lose eveyone is writing them off from this group.so anyway i just hope for some good matches today and good luck holland and romania. Yeah I am Romanian. And with my limited knowledge, I'm writing them off too. Unless a certain club owner decides to shelve out big bucks as a "motivational" factor. Fact of the matter is, the other teams are just better. I heard we might be pushing for a tie, if bribery is involved.
