Only just soft-modded my Xbox and am looking forward to playig some of these emus.

I'm suprised by the size of some of them(Including the roms), until I replace my hard-drive is it possible to install the emus to the Xbox and load the roms from CD/DVD?

Steve

yes you can put your emulators on your xbox hdd and play the roms off a dvd/cdr.

if you wish just ftp the emulators into your xbox hdd and depending on which emulators you wish to run as some emulators namely the xport emulators have a file browser to search through your xbox hdd.

but if your just going to be useing discs for your roms then you would be just as well burning the emulator to dvdr as well.

in order to play emulators and roms off the xbox dvd drive you have to convert the files into what is called an xbox iso.

here are som links to help people convert their xbox games/homebrew files to cdr/cdrw/dvdr and then burn to dvdr/cdrw/cdr.

you can download qwix here, this will convert your files into a xbox iso.

here is a tutorial on how to use qwix and make a xbox iso

then once you have your iso use dvd derryptor to burn the iso to dvdr, burn at the slowest speed 1x.

download for dvd decryptor

good luck.

  • 3 weeks later...

might as well revive this old bugger of a thread.

been playing a LOT of osman and im working on getting a 1cc on this game.not easy though but the boss patterns are easy to learn its more the platform elements of the game that are more challenging.

also been playing the brilliant and underrated sharp x68000(x68000x) emulator on xbox.

been playing thunderblade on x68000x,an almost arcade perfect port.cant find any vids of this one.

also been trying out cotton on the sharp x68000,again another arcade perfect port, better than the ps1 version in my opinion.

Been playing lots of stuff on FBA-XXX Pro, but only for testing purposes. Also playing through Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the first time, while everyone else is playing the sequel.

Mystic Ark's translation was released a month ago. It's a fairly sweet RPG from the late SNES era, and an indirect sequel to the infamous 7th Saga. I'm very surprised how much easier this game is compared to its predecessor, which drove me absolutely mad with its excessive grinding. Highly recommended playing for RPG aficionados.

Thanks to BP i've been able to try out Osman. It certainly lives up to being a Strider 2.

I've heard people say that before. Didn't Strider 2 live up to being a Strider 2?

A real one? Or the emu with roms?

If you want a real one:

The emu with full set, you're asking the right person in Fu.
