olaf Posted May 2, 2008 Share Posted May 2, 2008 My girlfriend is apparently going to buy me an Xbox 360 for my birthday and GTA IV (yes, I know -- gnarley). Anyway, I'm wondering which model is impervious to RRoDs or at least less likely to crap out on me. Keep in mind, I'm also trying to go for the cheapest solution. Anyone? BlackKnight Posted May 3, 2008 Share Posted May 3, 2008 No new hardware will be around until Q4 this year. If you get an Arcade or Pro unit with HDMI, then you're getting the latest hardware. With boxed Elites there is no way to tell for sure but you should be safe. No models are impervious to RRoDs, but these newest units have the same failure rates as most other electronics.
