As I said I am new on this and I purchased the R4 preloaded. I have not been able to load the latest version from the R4 website, I was hoping that someone on the forum had done it and could explain to me how to do it. Many thanks Just download the latest firmware off of the r4ds website, delete _ds_menu.dat and _ds_menu.sys and then just unzip the files into the root of your SD card (if your card is E: unzip it to E:\ btw, don't be nervous about this, there's no way it can kill your cartridge, the worst case scenario is that it scrambles your SD card, (so make backups of your savegames), and you just have to reformat it.
