Gryph Posted January 1, 2008 Share Posted January 1, 2008 I haven't had a new monitor in many years so I decided it was time I move into the 21st century and leave back CRT and get with the LCD program. My old monitor was an awesome Trinitron P991 18" viewable. My new monitor is an LG L246WP-BN 24" P-MVA panel. Pics are a bit large (about 1 mb) because I didn't feel like shrinking them down. They are also blurry and crappy quality since I do not have steady hands and my camera sucks. However, the was another monitor that I saw that had more vibrant color but it was a glossy screen Gateway with much less viewing angle. This monitor cost me $583 including tax. Online and many stores sell it for $600 but Best Buy had it for $540. Wow, 24'' monitor? You got to install a TV tuner in that PC of yours and watch some television on it as well. That's a great size. How much did you pay for it? It also seems like a widescreen monitor?I wouldn't want to watch TV on this but I will watch movies! I have a 27" standard def TV for that. And yes it is a 24" widescreen. I was afraid it wouldn't fit in my workstation. CRT is far superior to LCD and I will never switch my computer monitor to LCD. Your average 32" direct view CRT HDTV with roughly the same specs, $1800. (Probably over $2000 here in Canada, we get shafted) If I had that kind of money, I still don't know if I would, anyone who spends $1800 on a TV is an idiot in my books. My TV is about 19" with a beer belly. I dont have cable and watch stuff on my pc which has a tv tuner. Some times i connect it to the tv and watch it thier but its a little blury.
