Subbed or Dubbed?

Original language + subtitles. I can't stand subbed anything, be it anime, movie or other TV shows.

Dubbing more often breaks than makes a series as the voice actors often do a despicable job. Some anime are an exception, though.

dubbed hands down

reading subs diverts my eyes from the action going on above

now I still like subs that translates kanji/kana on screen though

also, you should have made this a poll damnit ;p

It depends heavily on the voice actors.

Indeed, some are fine in English Cowboy Bebop & GITS to name two, but some have dubs that make your ears bleed Love Hina for example, a few seconds of that in parts was enough to make me watch it all in subbed form (the few seconds was a quick check the disc was ok on arrival) the Ranma dub is also a case of this (ok that one didnt make my ears bleed but it was nasty). Often if the dubs not too bad & I first saw the show on TV I'll be lazy & watch the dub, this does change from time to time most notably in the monumental dub rooster up in the dc version of one of the Evangelion episodes (fans may recognise the bit I mean without saying much else about it), in most cases its a take it on a series/film by series/film (delete as applicable) basis though.
