I don't know about the mod chip or whatever... but I do know that ConsoleSource has very fast shipping. I bought my R4DS from them and it got down to the southern part of America from Canada in 4 days.

DO NOT buy it, I've seen nothing but problems posted on the DMS4 boards and other places. It doesn't stay put and in coming loose it can cause damage to your PS2.

There isn't a solderless solution available for PS2 that actually works like it claims. It isn't feasible on the PS2, there is nowhere to mount it firmly enough to keep it in place.

Hell, if you even run into problems the DMS4 team is nowhere to be found and hasn't been for over a year. The support forums have months and months of porn spam on them.

Isnt that indirectly linking to a pron site :shootem::naughty: .

Back to the topic, thier is one way to keep it running for a number of years but it wont last you forever, probably enough untill the emulator is fully capable of running games on the pc. I dont remember the name but like what cinder said about the DMS4 if you run into problems well...your screwed.

Patience is a virtue

The emulator that is. :)

You already got you answer in the following post.

The solderless chip is trash. If you are paying for someone else to install it for you, why even consider a solderless chip? The soldered DMS4 SE Pro is the way to go. What more endorsement do you need?

As for ConsoleSource, I can't vouch for the place myself, but have heard alright things.
