xbox s-controller

Hi. I'm having controller issues in pcsx2 with Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.I am running winxp pro x64 (fully updated inc DX feb 07)

I'm using a modified xbox s-controller. While playing the game, the blue equip menu, with "orbs", "relics" etc keeps popping up every time i try to move my character.

I can get it disappear by backing out of that menu but every time i move my analog it pops back up.

I can only move left and right (with the pop up on) forward and back on stick dont move character or make menu come on.

 

I'm wondering if there is a controller profile i can load in the configure section for gamepads that converts it to a ps2 controller.

've programmed the buttons and axis in pcsx2 and also in the xbcd setup any number of ways and have had no luck.

 

The game plays really smoothly, and I'm anxious to get to playing instead of watching the demo play over and over.

 

I would really like to get this working
