For me, I always enjoy head to head more than cooperative. The feeling of playing a new/old game against friends not knowing if you're better than them or not is always funner. I've always enjoyed competition and when I lose i get too steamed and challenge the winner again and again and again until I win or until the guy leaves. If it's an RTS then some good cooperation is welcome until the ai gets old. Usually for RTS my friends and I go from co-op to head to head.
