Microsoft has released a list of both games and support for their Xbox Live Arcade service.

 

Microsoft has announced a list of games that will be appearing on their Xbox Live Arcade service throughout the Christmas 05 holiday period. Some of the games in the service include classics such as Smash TV, Gauntlet and Robotron 2084 from Midway, as well as Bizarre Creations' Geometry Wars 2.

"The next generation of Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 will enhance the gaming experience for casual and competitive gamers alike, across the globe, providing something for everyone with world-class games and captivating content," said Peter Moore.

 

The Xbox Liver Arcade service for the Xbox 360 will launch alongside the console's launch in North America on November 22nd, Europe on December 2nd and Japan on December 10th, and will be fully integrated into the Xbox Dashboard on all Xbox 360 systems. All those purchasing an Xbox 360 with a hard drive or a hard drive separately will find the full version of Hexic HD pre-installed on the hard drive free of charge.

 

More than 40 publishers are supporting the Xbox Live Arcade service for the Xbox 360, with the likes of Atari, Capcom, EA and SEGA all onboard.

New games are planned to be released regularly onto the Xbox Live Arcade service, with 35 titles expected by summer 2006.
