wouldnt know that y iam asking the experts here.if thats the case thats very bad then.so it only dx 8.1 support then right?

As far as I know, yes. To get DX9 support, you'd need a Radeon 9500 or higher.

Yeah, it's only DX8.1. I mean, even if it did have DX9 support it wouldn't run that great. Most games now still have DX8.1 support. Performance-wise I don't really know since I never checked on benchmarks for it. It all depends on the kinds of games you are going to play. Well atleast one thing is true, it's better than the GeForce 4 MX. :)

i dont need it for gaming i need for modeling. i do low poly so i dont have to worry about hpw many polygons on screen but with my intergrated graphics chip right now is the crappiest experience for modeling.

i thought u guys said it didnt support direct x9.first the cd comes with direct x 9 in it then when i use direct x9 renderer in softimage it works great?

my bad i guess not.when ever itry to highlight a polygon in that mode it doesnt work.at least i can still play the mm x8 demo.
