In this mode Jin will battle against cyborg enemies in a full 3D environment, you can move in any direction. They've gotten a little more elaborate over time, but usually feature a few different enemy types and the basic tekken combat moved to a final-fight style beat 'em up. Sucks that this one will be just one character (you used to be able to pick whoever) but it's nice that they're doing a little extra for it. It kinda looks like they are, but doing too much would significantly affect their development cycle, so I doubt we're going to see anything revolutionary.
