if u render a scene with just shaders its hard to make it look realistic lighting helps but its final gathering that gives a realistic look like i tried to make for this simple scene originaly i has\d flat unrealistic look to it.

Ya, Then It Look Pretty Good, Oh What Am I Saying? Its Great,... Except For That Little Mark On The Right Of The Donut, Cant Seem To Get My Eye Off Of It.

Psst those marks on the right of the "donut" are the reflection of the 2 other things. lol

 

Good use of lighting there, I think you could do better with the models though to give them a more realistic look in their shape however.

well i guess chrome suits better than mirrored, looks nice, the ring is eye candy, the onlyt bad thing i see here is hte low poly count, nut that seems your objetive so it is fine then

 

this is just an idea but how about putting the light a little far, show the ring closer and let the shadow partiallly project over the other bodies, some crystal like one wouldn't be bad either
