Wouldn't the 1.50 add-on help?I'm not having any issues myself on that one,as i am currently running mame4all, gpsp, stella, jnes and snes9x.

If anyone wants this done and has a free official sony memory card..I'll be more than happy to do it.just leave me a pm.
-
any chance of porting this to sdlmame? I tried copying the necessary source files from a matching version and ended up with a compile failure

I've been sick of em for ages.. ATI = good hardware with bad software .Esp for opengl in linux.

This site isn't restricted to emulation. We can post and talk about anything that interests the members, as long as it abides by the board rules. And you can be quite sure that many readers will be using Bittorent.
I was actually joking with you.
-
Anyone know why Robert posts a bittorrent client on a emulation board over and over, year after year??or will it run naomi 2 hardware in a future release too?..Lol

pretty neat...drivers and patches available yet?

Hi, I following the instruction on this thread to run the Launch elf: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28441
Now how do I install the Memory Card exploit? Sorry for being a newb, but I wouldn't know where to start.
Google is your friend

Can everybody who has done this successfully start a compatibility list with the games that work?
So far we have:
007 - Agent Under Fire, Region = Ntsc (U), "driving.elf" =
Jakk 2 - Demo, Region = Ntsc, "???.elf" =
The jakk2 demo disk was NTSC-U..and the executable was suspiciously named boot.elf already

Could be more than just ones video card...or drivers..could be faulty memory..find a copy of knoppix or any other bootable live cd that has memtest32..also try disabling agp fast writes in your boot-up bios if thats an option..also looking up information regarding your motherboard..try installing intels mobo drivers off their website...while your at it google for your problem and include your mainboard/graphics chip..and lastly check for bios updates for your mainboard..and be very careful with this..however read the changelogs on the bios updates that are available and see if your issue is mentioned...Good Luck

Ever wanted to get rid of those annoying cps3 loading /rewrite times..it's simple...find a nocd version and run it in mame..then go into mames nvram directory and rename the appropriate nvram file to the game you wish to play.. example rename sfiii3n.nv to sfiii3.nv..if you're lucky enough to be using linux a simple soft link will work as well..Poof!!! no more waiting times
-
I can verify that this does work on disks that don't have multiple binaries and the elf doesn't have to be on the root of the drive...i can also unfortunately verify as well that other bond games even with a driving.elf do not work..i managed to pull it off with a jakk2 demo disk of all things..best luck to all

I'm Having big time problems getting this emulator to run any selfboot .cdi .I'm curious if anyone else has gotten this rolling..looks like the sytem requirements are much less than the very nice nulldc and chankcast.. I suspect it's my flash.bin... anyone?

Thanks everyone for your quick replies To answer your question the psp is my gf's daughters and i'm not sure who updated it..My next question is will any emulator or os run w/o custom firmware or is there anything else unique or educational to do with it besides the usual?
-
Yep. You need to use a Pandora battery.
Go look that up and if you have any questions Ill be able to help you out. The readme in the thing you download is real easy to follow though.
I have a fat model btw..but also is there any other firmware i can safely install without that?
-
Sorry if this has already been asked..have my hands on a psp, however it has the latest firmware..any way to downgrade safely via a usb connection?
-
Anyone seen or played this? is it a hack or just a different version of Darkstalkers? i saw a mention of this on this site http://ddememame.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

Anway regarding the origional post i think it's still mainly a monopoly... you can see that when you go to a computer store and you're forced to buy a machine with virus xp home edition.. if you choose not to use the damn closed source monster you still end up paying M$ tax for buying the flocking thing.. of course you can build your own pc but not everyone knows how to do that.. even still if you do use linux many companies like silicon integrated systems refuses to support your hardware nor give the developers any clues or help.. another reason is most pc users use windows for its ease and want to double click on everything for answers.. However the linux kernel (the core of the operating system) has been under serious development in the last few yrs.. any newer distro has a much flashier desktop than luna.. i wish more people would become more aware of this alternative operating system so we can make bill gates sign a eula to kiss our asses and fully put an end to big companies wanting our souls

is the Chinese govt. still developing their own linux?
They should just use Redhat Linux.
redhat is ancient did you mean fedora?
-
i wonder if we are going to see the 2003 bootlegs as well since they added all the 2002 roms right after new years last year
-
i believe he may have the the old winkawaks type roms i remember some time ago winkawaks changed to match mame he could check his crc's and apply patches at micmano.net instead of redownloading his roms

a simple .elf on the disk won't work..it's really guess work..I literally had to make a bunch of coasters till i found something right which in my case was a jakk 2 demo disk.try different game disks...Also I found this method worked on a version 5 but not a version 7 ps2.if thats the issue install on a friends ps2 and make an all version fmcboot memcard..you could also try calibration or cleaning the laser since this usually has to be done for a ps2 to read burnt media..Best of luck
