    Simple for me I just don't give those that treat me with disrespect any acknowledgement that I even see them. If you want to be an ass then so be it but I will not give you the satisfaction of my time. Treat others as you want to be treated.

    Curious Jitway, how often do the assholes confront your sudden behavior shift? And if so, how do you spill it on them?

    Quite a lot as in my business I deal with people face to face all day. All I do as I stated before is too not pay any attention to them. I simply walk away and even if they try to get my attention as I am walking away I still ignore them. Sometimes they will contact me later and apologize for their behavior but most times I never see them again.

    How do you use a newsgroup?

    First you need a newsreader. There are many for free. I use Newsbin Pro and it is not free. Second you need a newsgroup service. Some internet providers give you access to them for free but free ones are very limited and slow. I use NewDemon and it is not free but very nicely priced at $6.95 a month. This allows me to access all the newsgroups out there and get very good download speeds. Next you need to use a NZB index service. Now there are many for free and they work almost as well as the paid ones. I myself use a free one but it is invite only. Search google for NZB sites and also.     I still am confused on newsgroups vs. torrent sites. Is there any "seeding" involved with newsgroups? And, historically, do you know of anyone who has ever got caught downloading pirated material using newsgroups? Or is it too hard to track?

    There is no seeding once it is uploaded by someone all you do is download it. No no one has been prosecuted for downloading only uploading. And still uploading anymore is hard to track as most are done with jumbled filenames.

    Who the hell actually showers in the morning? I refuse to crawl into bed without showering first...and I'm not getting up and having a shower again.

     

    That whole morning shower concept seems outright retarded to me.

    I agree totally. I am not a morning person anyway and could not get myself to get into a shower that early anyway.

    Ya NZB indexing sites are getting shut down. There have been many that have closed the doors in the last year but uploaders are getting smarter and naming stuff with jumbled letters. When you run quickpar it fixes them. But newsgroups will never shut down there is no way they could shut that down no matter how hard they try.

    But seriously it's prolly that your not getting "good" sleep.

    Hey I fit that description at my age I have to take a nap every now and then. But I would say GC that you are just not getting a good restful sleep. Do you toss and turn a lot or do you sleep right through?

    Monitor won't recognize?

    More than likely you have somehow changed the refresh rate of the video output and your monitor cannot support that rate. Try going into the setting in your display in the control panel under appearance and then go to display and screen resolution then go to advanced settings. You should find your monitor there and be able to change the refresh rate. Most are set at 60. If that is not it then try to get another monitor from someone and try it. It maybe your monitor went bad.

    Nope. Not yet. My nes broke a while ago, and a friend's got my collection of loose carts. I should have a new nes here in the next day or two.

    Thinking zip-loc bags and seeing if I can find those anti-humidity pouches that come in shoe boxes?

    Just put about a teaspoon of white rice in the bag and that will keep out the moisture.
