To follow up on this:
"MIT's LAMP music-over-cable initiative has been shut down due to licensing concerns, as reported on The Boston Globe. Ars Technica has a good summary of the story. It appears that Loudeye did not have the rights to sell music to MIT for distribution over cable, although they apparently assured MIT that they did in fact have those rights."

Since Disoblige took a vacation, and there hasnt been any worthwhile posts up lately,.I thought id make this milestone post at the same time while also posting a very intesting story i found on shortnews.com
Man Commits Suicide After Girlfriend Dumps Him - For Himself20 year old Huang Tzu-heng wanted to test the depths of his girlfriend's love, so he decided to make up an online alter-ego and see if she would cheat on him... with himself.
Sure enough, the girlfriend, Hsiao Lao, started dating the man she knew only as "Mr J" online, causing Huang to become upset because she kept secrets from him.
The final straw came when Hsiao Lao told Huang that she had fallen in love with Mr J, and wanted to leave Huang. Huang committed suicide, burning charcoal in his room. He left behind two suicide notes.

well i mean, look how fast internet has sped in the last ten years.... right now as we speak i read that they are working on 10mb/s internet that will probably be available in ten years.

try going to www.zophar.net and downloading some different plugins with speed control that would allow you to control the speed for sound and video.. Its always the plugins.

But if we take no action, we would let other countries like Iraq monopolize the oil fields rasing oil prices here in the US. We had to go to war no matter once so let it be sooner rather than later.

I think that more people use Kazaa even though it is less powerful than eDonkey. People mainly use Kazaa because of the music and not the powerfulness.

Are you guys looking more forward toward Doom III or Half-Life 2?
Im looking more towards Half-Life 2 since i own the orginal and id rather play multiplayer than single player....

Ive never had dreamcast, but ive got a question about it.
Are you still able to play online with it, and if so how much does it cost?
I remember games like Nba2kX and stuff and was wondering if they still functioned online, since i never owned a dreamcast.

yeah for example MAME is a command line program and you can use frontends instead of using the command line if it is too hard for you.

Whats a good P2P program to use, that you would recommend to others? Ive tried a lot of them and could of course recommend Kazaa.

What archive program do you guys use and can recommend?
I personally use WinRAR since it can handle really big files and many archive types. It also is very fast and integrates itself into the shell very well.

How many and what type of pets do you guys have around your house?
To start off, I have a pet cat, and a pet frog. I never had an interest in dogs since you had to do everything for them (ie. bathroom, walks)

Now not to be ignorant (too late) but ive personally been with emulation since NESticle first came out but theres something I must have missed in the emu scene. I know what GoodXXX collections are but what is TOSEC? Ive tried to research it and even went to their website which only confused me more. Is it like another group trying to make rom pack standards or something?
