  1. I didn't know where the best place to post this was (there's no Xbox One section) but since Microsoft named there newest Console "Xbox One" I thought this would be a fitting place for it lol..

It's now possible to install and play Emulators on the Xbox One with "Dev Mode" (These Emulators were available on the Xbox Store but were pulled after a while, hence the need for "Dev Mode" to be activated..

    How Developer Mode works

Xbox One has two modes, Retail Mode (1) and Developer Mode (2). In Retail Mode, the console is in the state that any customer or user of an Xbox One console would use: you can play games and run apps as a user. In Developer Mode, you can develop software for the console, but you cannot play retail games or run retail apps. Developer Mode can be enabled on any retail Xbox One console. After Developer Mode is enabled, you can switch back and forth between Retail (2a) and Developer Modes (2b).

Dev Mode costs $20 or is free if your a student (with a student E-mail account) You can get More information on how to activate Dev Mode here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/devkit-activation

Now on to the Good Stuff :-)

What currently works on Xbox Dev Mode:

Nesbox is a multi Emuator that supports NES (.nes), Sega (.gen .smd), Super Nintendo (.smc), GameBoy (.gb .gbc .gba)

    https://nesbox.com/emulator

    91516%20nes.jpg?1473931888

Retrix is a multi Emulator that's ported from Retroarch (so expect more supported Cores) that supports: NES, Snes, GB, GBA, SG-1000, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive and Mega CD. (and hopefully soon PS1) :-)

    https://github.com/Aftnet/LibretroRT

    TEcaQY6.png

PPSSPP is a PSP Emulator that runs very well (most games run fullspeed) :-)

    ppsspp-vr-1.jpg

There's also a N64 and PS1 emulator too but the authors require you pay for them

    http://www.xb1emu.com/

All apps run in dev mode are in the format Appx, so other Appx compiled to run on Win 10 should be installable on Xbox Dev Mode Too :-)

  2. Retroarch 1.6.0 has been released for the Nintendo WiiU Console and brings with it an all new XMB Gui Driver!! and initial Netplay support!! :-)

This release brings it closer to the Android and PC versions of Retroarch :-)

    lJBbevV.jpg

    Quote from source:

    WiiU port

Each and every RetroArch release is always a community effort. FIX94 and aliaspider have made numerous improvements to the WiiU version of RetroArch. For one, it has HID controller support now, which means you can use gamepads other than the default Wii U gamepads on it. There is also support for the XMB and MaterialUI menu drivers. There are some graphical touches missing from it such as shader effects though, so don’t expect to see the fancy ribbon animating on the WiiU yet.

Overall, it is a big improvement on what went before. Netplay should also start to work on WiiU.

As always you can grab the latest stable and latest nightly from the Retroarch buildbot here: https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.6.0/nintendo/wiiu/

  5. I have both Wii and PS3 modded and if I'm honest I rarely use the PS3, I don't know, just seems more fun running Emulators on the Wii/360.

When it comes to downgrading the PS3, it's true, one wrong move or a step out of order and it's curtains :P luckily I got mine on 3.55 :)

Wii is a piece of piss to mod, you have to really want to mess it up to break it lol

  6. Ced2911 has released his first POC version of PPSSPP for the 360. It's still Alpha so expect BUGS. smiley.gif

    PPSSPP 0.91 Alpha version

    Proof of concept.

    Based on PPSSPP 0.91.

    Usage:
put a psp iso name psp.iso is the same directory as default.xex

    What have been done:
Fast ppc jit (Can be used in wii/wiiu/ps3). Give a 10x to 20x speedup !
DirectX9 backend (Can be ported to Win dows), miss some lights and framebuffer effects.

What need to be done next:
Finish the ppc jit, 70/80% of the opcode are recompiled, need slow memory paths.
Finish the DirectX9 Backend. Fix framebuffers, lights issues.
Port FFMpeg for sound and video playback.
    Port the Atrac3+
    Add a gui

    Know bugs:
Jit doesn’t work in real devkit.
In some games can’t go in game because of missing video/sound playback => use a save games.
Some games are slow (Monster hunter 2) set VertexCache = true to give a big speed up ! Use this with caution! 360 have few memory !
Random crashes => Can be fixed by using setting Jit = false and FastMemory = false, but it will slowdown as hell !

    Lighting issues on Ridger Racer.
    Framebuffer issues.

    Want to helps ?
This projects is really big, if you have any skills and want to help you are welcome !
No need for help for testing game, I don’t care about this really at this moment, if it doesn’t work yet, wait for the next version.
    I need a real devkit.

  8. After months of waiting DIOS MIOS Is finally released.

For those who don't know, DIOS MIOS is a Gamecube USB ISO loader for the Wii.

Link to the latest DIOS MIOS WAD file and GC ISO Converter can be found here http://code.google.com/p/diosmios/downloads/list

For Help and more info http://gbatemp.net/topic/329342-dios-mios-lite/

Compatibility/Speed Seems very good and all games I've tried work. (That doesn't mean all games are playable, obviously) :)

  9. This is no longer a rumor. Team Xecuter has confirmed that it is in fact true. new vid at the bottom. :-D

This is one of the hottest rumors going around the 'net right now like wildfire, it was all started with a short video that was posted on the Xecuter forums last night then quickly removed, and that just made the rumor even hotter, the video which was saved by 'consoleopen' seems to show an Xbox 360 console booting up a custom kernel, much like the early modding days of the original Xbox 1, but nothing more is known at this moment except it looks sexy and cool and will rock the Xbox 360 on its feet if it turns out to be true and so far it is looking that way, after digging thru all our sources and what people are saying on the grapevine. smile.png

It is still unclear whether it is some sort of kernel hacked or a real modchip which acts on the behavior of the console: The fact is that it looks like something on a sort of “development kernel” much’ advanced than those we have seen so far, in fact the modified kernel that we use on our consoles are nothing more than official kernel modified so as not to check the authenticity of executables: This seems to be able to act on the behavior of the console, configuring parameters such as vital KeyVault (the secured area of the console that makes it “only” ) or other unusual features that usually are not seen in normal console. In the menu’ we are shown after bootscreen, we can see some of this mysterious setting Xecuter Fusion, I took the liberty of “interpret” settings that are displayed on screen, of course take my translations with pliers, However, as for now it's all a rumor: Team Xecuter has neither confirmed nor denied the existence of an Xecuter Fusion.
    • Pair DVD Drive: Pairs the DVD Drive to this console by using the DVD Key in the Keyvault.
    • - Lets “combine” DVD Drive installed on the console using the DVD contained in the Key Keyvault.
    • Current Mode: Retail Change the system encryption mode. Games like Rock Band that use internal system encryption will need this set to retail in order to work properly.
    • - I have no idea what it might mean, is likely to regard something with encryption of executables….
    • Boot DeV-Launcher Current mode: Disabled: Enable/Disable the dev launcher. When this is disabled, the console will skip booting to the dev launcher and boot directly to the Dashboard.
    • - As I understand from here, there seems to be a launcher “primary” called Dev-Launcher that lets you choose what to do, and this option you can’ deactivate.
    • Trainer Mode (NOT ACTIVE) Enable/Disable trainer mode. When trainer mode is enabled the system will boot to the launcher if the ‘X’ button is held down when a game is launched.
    • - Still to be defined, but, without a doubt the start of the games and one of the launcher.
    • Internal 1337 h4x br0
    • - Nothing to report.
    • Generate Keyvault generate a new keyvault using the console ID and write it to the console. keyvaults generated by this option will allow banned console back onto XePartnerNet.
    • - This is pretty interesting: Generate a new KeyVault starting the console by ID, This option would allow the console to be banned in the fall XePartnerNet, which is the “dark side” and little-known Microsoft network: in the restricted area because there are previews for reviewers and developing versions of the games… A section certainly not accessible to all.
    • System Change settings that affect how your console operates appears.
    • - Change the settings that affect how the console operates.

Things are getting VERY interesting now. Custom Boot animation and Custom Kernel. Nice :P

  10. Team Xecuter Presents RGH 2.0

    wehasallthephats.jpg

The newly formed RGH Development Team at Xecuter HQ are proud to announce that all Phat consoles have now been defeated and are totally glitch-able without having a previous NAND dump or CPU KEY (the same applies to Slim Trinity that have been updated to 14717/14719) !

Codenamed RGH 2.0, new features introduced:

    • Hack now works on new CB's (14717/14719 update)
    • Hack now works with all Refurbished Split CB's (4577, 5772, 6752)
    • - Zephyr CB 4577, 4575
    • - Falcon/Opus CB 5772, 5773
    • - Jasper CB 6752, 6753
    • - Trinity (Slim) CB 9230

To confirm, we can now glitch Phats with any kernel and any bootloader. As soon as you have your CPU KEY, and you are using an Xecuter DemoN you will ALWAYS be able to switch to a fully hacked NAND and it can never be stopped no matter what update you apply and no matter which efuses are blown !

We will be helping the J-Runner team to implement all of the new code which will allow you to build a patched ecc for any Phat NAND / Kernel / Bootloader.

The Xenon RGH hack will also be released however the quality of glitching seems to be as poor as the infamous Zephyr. No doubt once its out there users can tweak away at it and get some better results, the feeling here is that it's time wasted at the moment when we should be working on Corona. Currently it's a "repair" method at best to rescue DVD keys.

This is a new style of RGH hack (hence RGH 2.0) and there will be a new JED file, changes to the CoolRunner design, changes to the QSB's and possibly new install methods (we'll also show you how to change your older version TX CoolRunner to be compatible with the new hack, and initial tests have shown that other cheaper versions of RGH hardware will not work at all).

Work on fine tuning the hack is currently ongoing to make it as solid as possible, however we hope to have everything ready asap.

Members of our team are also working hard on the new Slim Corona model and can tell you that great progress has made made there too. We'll just say that we feel bad for anyone who paid good money for any glitch mod that was advertised as being "Corona Ready".

Stay tuned for more news icon_smile.gif

Thanks to Tiros & GliGli for their initial work on the RGH hack. Without them none of this would have been possible.

  11. Xecuter DemoN – Official Product Description / Specs

Categories: Featured Articles | 0 comments

The Xecuter DemoN is the most advanced Xbox 360 NAND device ever created.

    Phat Version:

    demon_phat1.jpg

    Slim Version:

    demon_slim1.jpg

Giving you the ability to have dual NAND's is nothing new to the scene thanks to Team Cygnos and their dual NAND device for older generation Phat JTAG models. However since the advent of the Reset Glitch Hack (RGH) scene, there has been an insurgence of homebrew activity on all the newer models of Xbox 360, including all of the Phat consoles that could no longer be JTAG'd, giving a need for multiple NAND's yet again so you can run your own custom kernels and linux apps on all the latest models including the new Xbox 360 S (or Slim as its known).

Picking up where Cygnos left off, Xecuter has taken the Dual NAND design and basically fixed every known bug and flaw that existed with the Cygnos, improved features, increased r/w speeds, redesigned the layout and install methods, added new functions and basically took the dual NAND concept to the next level.

The built-in NAND R/W hardware is a stand out feature. Completely bypassing the need for any external device such as the Xecuter NAND-X or any other SPI tool, the DemoN has a USB port which offers a completely pass-thru solution giving you direct access to the Demon & On-board NAND's – and with the turbo mode, you can now achieve NAND r/w speeds that have never been seen before on the Xbox.

Xecuter hasn't forgotten JTAG fans either, there are thousands upon thousands of users out there who run a perfectly functioning JTAG machine – many of them using the Xecuter JTAG QSB Install Kits that have become so popular over the last couple of years. Not only does the DemoN support all of the latest RGH devices such as the Xecuter CoolRunner – but we have also designed the DemoN to make sure that it doesn't affect any current JTAG installs – which is ideal for those who have the QSB kits installed and working perfectly – fitting the Demon does not require that they have to remove their functioning JTAG feature. The DemoN will also work with your currently installed RGH Device especially the TX CoolRunner and it's QSB install kits. Xecuter thinks of the customer experience first and foremost !

As always with Team Xecuter you can trust that we make the absolute best quality devices paying attention to the tiniest details and making sure that the end user is completely confident in a premium product backed by our famous warranty.

Xecuter is the brand you can trust, don't accept poor imitations.
