  1. Dude, if you could also include the 3rd wipeout game (wip3out?) with music, soul edge and metal gear solid all NTSC version, thats be kool thanks

All my games are PAL as i like in the UK So I cant do NTSC unless I look for them online :P

I dont think MGS runs very well.... Soul Edge is Soul Blade in the UK. I have ripped it but its plays choppy, BP will hopefully look at PSX optimization after he is done with the N64 stuff.

I think I got Wipeout 3 but it would be PAL if I do, Ill dig though and check...

Will being in PAL format effect their conversion to 720p? Also wont these suffer from the horrible bordered 50hz effect like in the bad ol days? I had MGS working ok on an v21 of the PS1 emu, I think there is a bug which means you need a memory card save in order to play disc 2 though?

  2. fair enough...

I know they do several versions... (I can just never get them to load)

    1400 players version,

    Marvel Vs DC Vs Capcom,

    Mortal Kombat Vs Streetfighter,

    Battle Coliseum,

    Queen of fighters,

    Streetfighter 4

  3. Bash, I use a modified X-Arcade. If you can, swap out the sticks with Mag Stick Plus - which can switch between 4 and 8-way controls on the fly. You do need to change the default 'switches' to be more sensitive in my opinion. More on that here: http://www.togeo.com/togeo/wordpress/?p=67

If you just ask the guy who sells them to replace the default ones, he will. Just point him to that article and he'll know what your talking about.

Sorry Phil, thanks for the advise but I think I need a pad/convertor solution. Original Xbox and S pads are no good for beat em ups, the dpads are terrible. I think I'll have to use PS2 adapters instead :)

Anyone wanna get rid of some cheap?

If you use a pad converter dont get a cheapo model, the delay is amost a second and thats a lot on a beat em up....

    PM' you

Thanks Ace, PMed you back :) which is the best convertor to get? they all look the same to me :S

  5. At first I thought the locks were a little silly but now I dont care as I'll always look to have the most complete collection possible. Cant wait for the N64 and PSX videos and roms. Bring it on.

On a side note, is everyone using an xarcade stick or something similar? I wish the I could buy some Xbox pad convertors so I could use a better joypad to enjoy coinops with? Old skool games are ok with an arcade stick and the odd button but I cant play SF2 etc using a stick. I suck at them, plus the Xarcade is a little inaccurate to say the least!

  6. Agreed, a new version of XBMC with a complete Coinop incorporated into it would be brilliant. then I'd probably only need my Amiga emulator as well and I'd be laughing. If it could have a really nice funky, clean front end and quick loading etc then go ahead.

I still wish you'd abandon the Xbox and move on the PS3 though :) coinops on that with wireless dualshock in 1080p would be the best so far :) In act could you port over your modified XBMC onto the PS3 like a customer firmware or sometthing?

  7. Hey BP,

OK - well, on the torrent front it looks like we have about 9 seeds and 25 leechers. This is down from about 100 leechers a day or so ago. Funny how we only have 9 seeds though!? Oh, wait, that's because they cut and run after their download completed like we told them not to.

Next time there is a release, it will be on a private tracker where ratio is forced. Too many selfish shitheads in the world apparently.

No more public torrents after this. Good job guys!

That is really poor guys, its meant to be a community here? Where are all the team players?

  8. I modified my X-Arcade with 2x 8-way Eurojoysticks (one red and one blue), colored buttons to match the xbox controller colors, and 50 gram switches as opposed to the 75 gram ones. The stock joysticks were not "fighter" friendly. But beyond that, X-Arcade is awesome :) I don't notice a delay. But then again, maybe I'm a noob lol.

I didn't know about the Magstick. 3x the cost (each) of the sticks I got but probably worth it. I like how you can switch between 8 way and 4 way from the top. The X-Arcade stock ones were also switchable but who wants to take apart their X-Arcade every time they want to switch? I'll look into these sticks some time :)

Will update next week with pics... if I remember.

I wish I had the time and money to mod my twin X-arcade sticks. The stock sticks are very bad in inaccurate. What I'd really like is some Saturn pad controllers but I'm probably better off getting some Dualshock adapters instead.

  9. OK - looks like things are moving. Multiple seeds and lots of downloaders - more than EPIC #1 if I recall correctly. After you are done DL'ng - SEED.

BP, do you want to work on PP this week/weekend? I have a brief lull at work, so I'll have time to test. :)

Huh? Multiple seeders? Im only getting 1 seeder and 39 of 71 peers. Was getting 1000kbps but now its crept down to around 100k. How many people have completed the download just out of interest?

  10. all synced now....im ready when you are guys.....

also I upped alot of psx videos....maybe if wanted I could give you the roms for the pack but it will blow the size though the roof

Oh wow, yes please guys, that would be awesome. As complete a pack as possible, especially if they're working 100% ok with save states etc. I dont mind about size because I have fast broadband and large hdds.

Please make this happen and avaliable ASAP, all those involved, many thanks

  11. I disagree. PS3 sux I own the 60gb and all its good for PS1... agreed in 5 plus years maybe but until PS4 comes out and Sony stops caring about PS3 then Xbox and coinops will remain no 1

Are you mad? I've got brilliant Snes, nes, MD, amiga pce final burn emus all working very fast and reliably? As long as its jailbroken on FW 3.41 or 3.55 the skys the limit.

  12. I think people should try any other mame like the ps3 ones to see they are lucky ive spent the time changing it from a PC type of gui.....

This is the next project surely? I think Xbox is pretty much maxed out for emulation. Coinops on the PS3 would be great right now.

  13. OK its testing is nearing completion at about 70 percent....

ill set up a vote for the release soon and how people want it.....or if people answer well enough here ill do it here....I will pick one or two ways to release only

    it will be

    1) Lite Build 4.5Gig (yes or no) This fits on a standard Drive (TESTED END TO END SD and HD)

    2) Full Build 30 Gig (yes or no) This is full 2400 games with alot more console (TESTED END TO END SD and HD)

    3) Fullish Build 25 Gig (yes or no) This is 2200 games same as above but not to many new console games all arcade execpt for some big titles missed (TESTED END TO END SD and HD)

    4) Full Upgrade pack 10 Gig (yes or no) This upgrades the old EPIC build....runs alot of risk around builds mixing and errors but is smaller

    4) Fullish Upgrade pack 5 Gig (yes or no) This upgrades the old EPIC build for mainly arcade games....runs alot of risk around builds mixing and errors but is smaller

Number 2 suits me fine as long a decent torrent is setup. I'll seed for a week once I get it too :)

  14. Wow, this looks amazing. Will anyone release the whole complete pack? my guess it must be over 40gb? It would also be good for this to be released in 64 and 128 meg flavours as well for those of use without an upgraded ram Xbox. Or will everything work on a standard 700mhz, 64meg ram xbox?

  15. nope only on cpsx emulator....and this is smoother than that....I added support for Street Fighter 3 to epic etc but its the xbox version...

cps3 wont run on final burn only on cpsx and there is no sources for that

I would say getting CPSX into Coinops should be the next step forward. I know SFIII was added to Coinops via but its not the same is it?

Do you have the skillz Britney?

  16. You know all the emus that they dont have for xbox1 like 3D0, PS1 (with near perfect compatibility), Dreamcast, maybe , saturn, and newer mame stuff ? (mostly defunct vintage games) Does anyone know if these will come out for ps3 homebrew with the same vigor seen on the xbox1 scene? I dont want to pirate any ps3 games just expand my home arcade with stuff that would benefit in the huge increase in performance and ram of a ps3? Id like to get a 2tb drive strictly for homebrew and emulators. my xbox1 hard drive is nearly full and I want to move onto something with more horsepower and hdmi. thanks.

I've already got Final Burn, snes, nes and sega roms on my PS3. They work perfect and its nice to use a wireless dualshock with emus rather than the horrible Xbox pad.

Ps3 has a Dreamcast emu but very early build, not sure of peformance. People like you are now waiting for perfect Ps1, Ps2, saturn etc The Ps3 has the power to do it but just need the coders to work their magic for the rest of us normal folk. Give it 6 months and the scene will have moved on a hell of a lot.

I think anything above 500gb (2.5" sata) has heat issues unless you go with an adapter to force a horrible looking 3.5" hdd onto the back of it.
