Pointer file in CoinOPS/Roms....is there so mame can find it....
the game itself is in CoinOPS/RomsN64.....this is the game its self.....
if you want it to boot in 720p if the tv is capible you must a file of the same name
to CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef this tells the program it is aloud to run in HiDef....
so
CoinOPS/roms (is a 0 byte file called the lookup name.zip.....this adds the name to the CoinOPS list)
CoinOPS/RomsN64 (this is the rom its self named the same as above but has the rom contents)
CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef (is a 0 byte file called lookup name.zip as per above and if this is there the rom can run in HD...if not it will be SD only...so by default all games run in SD unless this lookup is added...note N64_SuperMario64 is added to this folder by default to show you how it works....)
so all games from the old packs will run at present in SD....except for N64_SuperMario64 as I added the hd enabler by default to CoinOPS/RomsN64HiDef so it will play as both...I need to know what games will work and what games will work if I add the HD enabler
I have a large pack of working games...I just need to know if I should add the HD enablers to them....

the pack is being assembled now...standalones will be coming as well
they would out sooner but took the GF to dinner now im adding a few more sorting methods for you guys

ill be releasing a build today.....ive decided to disregard the few due the sadness of others....ill continue doing this the way I used to soon...lots of releases and leave it up to you guys to upgrade or not,,,,its clear they where out of touch.....and most like this...ill post in each build how the numbering system works so people can know the latest build but basicaly there will be no more new names

CoinOPS 4...... these will be full packs of everything (only released every 6 plus months)

CoinOPS 2 R4 Pack.... these are upgrade game packs with vids...recommend using the correct standalone to make sure everything works (released everyso ofter maybe 4 months)

CoinOPS 2 R3 Standalone
CoinOPS 2 R4 Standalone..... this is the latest CoinOPS and will have the latest features patches and bug fixes.... (released every month or 2)
The packs are tested end to end and a good place to start....then add the Packs and stanalones as you see fit...you dont have to get any of them and id recommend getting the fill CoinOPS 2 as the place to start...I wont answer questions about the how to add stuff thats in the pack...the pack has nearly everything in it and it wastes my time talking about how to make it work....others can look and see what ive done and help you out im sure....
Peace all Standalone will be out soon and the pack will be out soon....Standalone should be out within hours...the pack will take a day to get out.....you can just use the pack but some games will be missing if you dont have the linked standalone or a greater standalone....eg R2 Pack id recommend R2 Standlone or R3 standalone...eg something higher as all games will work and show

I have test yesterday DARGON'S LAIR in CoinOPS ... i don't understand it before but it is in the pack
When i see the video, i launch the game ... and try to play it ... but when i clic on a key i always come back to the launcher
Is it any solution to play it or it is not working for now ?

Hey dark,
I believe this was mentioned before.... Its not a playable version, its a rolling video and so is Space Ace... The game is still availible to buy in the shops on DVD and may bring unwanted attention to the CoinOPS project by its publisher.
(Its also HUGE, Dragons Lair and Space Ace would expand the size of CoinOPS by about 8GB)
I hope this helps... PS Maybe there is a Console version that could be added instead....

Hey BP...for some reason when I start games it doesn't detect the buttons sometimes.
Ex: I will play street fighter just fine, then try to play NBA jam and it won't read my 1p controls. I go into the in-game button configs and it will still show the previous setup I had for the game, so I change one or two buttons and everything works again.
It actually happens a lot. TIA

added another 50 arcade games...ill finish this off tommorrow with around 200 added arcade games....
I have that puzzle game and it was added recently...and ill look at and discuss console games next....theres been alot of work going on to make more console playble recently...alot of games have been added to lists....I think that one is PSX_IQ
then its build sort and lock down, final bug bash and release....its a pretty big update gamewise esp

Love the collection of puzzle games on CoinOps!!
Intelligent Qube is a PSX puzzle game which might be worth including.
Its one of the smaller games (~150mb) on the system, so it wouldn't have a large footprint.

Alright now i changed the dash as mentioned by fumanchu to Unleashx.
It doesnt freeze now on boot up but i get another error "mameox wasnt called from the launcher! Please run default.xbe instead.
I only have one default.xbe
Try re-adding the all files and folders EXCEPT "Roms and Videos" folders then try again

Hi been looking around and cant find out how to name multi Psx disc's trying to get OddWorld Abes Exodus to show in list. CONSOLE Games Lookup For Naming of Roms.txt say's to name it PSX_OddWorldAbesExodus what do I name disc 2. Im sure its easy once I know thanks in advance.Wondering about this as well, just got Final Fantasy VII, and it's 3 discs, just wondering what to name them each and how to handle swapping.
Some games require a "mid game swap" Like Metal Gear, However others like Resident Evil 2 "boot standalone", I believe BP is looking into this after he is done with the N64 stuff... Maybe a button combo to load disk image but im not to sure.
BP has asked for a list of games that are 2 disk... I have sent a list of about 20 or so

I have loads of players and stages for MUGEN, can I just add them to folders or do I need to do something special first?

I will be releasing these on private trackers before the weekend...
I need to upload them to the seedbox first and I only get 40-60kbs so it will take until friday \ saturday... maybe sooner !
