  1. Hmm i wonder wether its possible, with some addon or something, to choose which forums one gets displayed. That way everyone could limit the forums displayed to those he/she is interested in while keeping the broad interest covered.

For example i would remove the xbox, ps2 and DS and some other stuff from my personal frontpage.

  2. I have this Indy Jones Package i found on the fleamarket.

It contains the Indiana Jones Adventures 3-5 (Last Crusade, Fate of Atlantis and Tower of Babel)

There is one sheet of paper in the box, containing the copy protection codes for Fate of Atlantis.

Now, beofre is sell the thing incomplete, i was wondering wether anyone of you knows wether the Last Crusade has some sort copy protection as Monkey Island had, as well ?

  3. People have different reasons to leave a community.

You, solidius, should reflect your efforts on 1emu.

Did you invest time to become a honoured member ?

Then your initial motivation was wrong.

See, i know GC from when he was a member in my forum, prior starting 1emu.com. He invited me to be interviewed in 1emu radio but i rejected.

See, the emuscene is different these days from what it used to be. Addicted people run the known sites these days. Everything has become more competitive. 1emu had and has very addicted staff members over the past years. They are what make the site special. Look at Agozer and Robert just to name a few. Its like Agozer is on a mission to reply to each and every post here. Rob posts a shitload of stuff too. Hell, i'd associate Agozer with 1emu in the first place, cause if i come here, i read his posts mainly. He also stands out from the crowd with very much knowledge about almost everything emu related. ( ok agozer, calm down now :) )

The point of the crap i am posting is this:

Either you love the oldgames for them being, or you dont. There is nothing left in between. You got demoted from Admin to Super Mod ? So what ?

A site run by more than 1 person always has to consider different things when it comes to staff decisions. Sometimes some person has to suffer a bit. Mostly this is nothing personal, its just outlined by the new rules being set. Example: For some reason you decide your admins must be at age 20 at least. Now that Admin at age 18 gets "demoted" to a super mod and is surely pissed and leaves.

This again implies the question why you came here in the first place ?

Gamefun, Friendship or honour ? This forum can provide point 1 and 2 but it cant serve your ego. Go and make your own site if you feel demoted. See how much effort and work and time spent is needed to have a forum like this. You'll be surprised how much work this is.

So dont be pissed for being demoted. I know GC for years now, and i never got offered a staff position. I dont care. There is still the upper goal to achieve. And that is not me being honoured or respected, its the fun of emu games that needs to be brought to the ppl.

I infected my entire neighbourhood with Amiga emulation. How many ppl did you infect ?

Yes, this forum itself needs a lot of tweaking to become better.

Example: The only advanced content a premium member gets is the spam forum. D'oh. I am premium member and get access to spam. Nifty :)

Nobody is perfect, and a commonwealth of people running a site is more worse and make decisions to be made more difficult. But the people told you they want to have you here, so why dont you stay ?

( If you cant follow my thoughts its prolly for me having too much beer tonight :P )

  4. It reads you have an error sending the cue sheet.

The cue sheet is a simple textfile that comes with your

.bin file. Its a simple textfile that has some trackinfo in it.

Often the cuesheet contains wrong paths, something like

    imagefile=C:\Documents and Settings\...\image.bin

If you dont have the bin file there, recording will fail. Open the .cue with notepad and make the thing read imagefile=image.bin

Thus the recording software would/should alert you earlier if it cant find the bin

i still think you burned it wrong. If you open the disc in windows explorer, what do do you see? Some crap or ip.bin and the cuesheet ?

Anyway, if you have daemon tools, try to make a disc to disc copy from the mounted drive to the CDR.

If you find some file with an unknown extension try http://www.wotsit.org/
