  1. My father made awesome pies, homemade apple and pumpkin.

We had turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, snack trays with vegetables such as pickles, olives, carrots, bread boat with dip, potato chips and dip, sweet potato mashed potatoes with marshmallows.

  2. I just wanted to report that Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx has been released for all the Linux users on this forum. ;)

    All releases (DDL and torrents)

32bits regular desktop (torrent & ddl)

    Highlights of Lucid Lynx:

    http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/releasenotes/1004overview

    GNOME

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS RC includes the latest GNOME desktop environment with a number of great new features.

    Linux kernel 2.6.32

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS RC includes the 2.6.32-21.32 kernel based on 2.6.32.11.

    KDE SC 4.4

Kubuntu 10.04 LTS RC features the new KDE SC 4.4. For more information about new features in Kubuntu, see the Kubuntu technical overview.

    HAL removal

This release fully removes HAL from the boot process, making Ubuntu faster to boot and faster to resume from suspend.

    Major new version of likewise-open

The likewise-open package, which provides Active Directory authentication and server support for Linux, has been updated to version 5.4. The package supports upgrades from both the officially supported versions 4.0 (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS) and 4.1 (Ubuntu 9.10), as well as the likewise-open5 packages from universe.

Since this upgrade involves a lot of configuration file changes and in-place database upgrades, testing and feedback is appreciated.

New default open source driver for nVidia hardware

The Nouveau video driver is now the default for nVidia hardware. This driver provides kernel mode setting, which will give improved resolution detection. This driver provides hardware accelerated 2D functionality, like the -nv driver it replaces. The nouveau driver is being actively developed upstream and we anticipate this will enable faster bug fixes for problems encountered.

Improved support for nVidia proprietary graphics drivers

Three different NVIDIA proprietary drivers are currently available: nvidia-current (190.53), nvidia-173, and nvidia-96. Thanks to a new alternatives system, it is now possible to install all three of these packages at the same time (although it is only possible to have one configured for use at a time).

    Social from the Start

We now feature built-in integration with Twitter, identi.ca, Facebook, and other social networks with the MeMenu in the panel, which is built upon the Gwibber project, which has a completely new, more reliable backend built on top of desktopcouch. Gwibber now also supports a multi-column view for monitoring multiple feeds simultaneously.

    New boot experience

Multiple changes to look, feel and speed of the boot experience have been included in the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release Candidate.

    New Indicators

The notification area now features more consistent user experience and design for communication, session management, and many other tasks. See the application indicators page for information on this change.

    New Themes

The desktop has been beautified with the addition of two brand new themes, Ambiance and Radiance. New wallpaper and icons are also included.

    Ubuntu One File Syncing

Select any folder in your home directory for sync, pick from your existing contacts when sharing folders. An updated preferences application has been added, with more features.

    Ubuntu One Music Store

Millions of songs are available for purchase from your Ubuntu desktop, integrated with the Rhythmbox Music Player and using Ubuntu One cloud storage for backup and easy sync.

New features for Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud (UEC)

The Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud installer has been vastly improved in order to support alternative installation topologies. UEC components are now automatically discovered and registered, including for complex topologies. Finally, UEC is now powered by Eucalyptus 1.6.2 codebase.

A script to improve the out-of-the-box experience. Very recommended. (now with a fix for Shuttleworth's un-democratic window buttons)

  3. About six or seven hours to New Jersey if driven straight, our earlier destination was about four or five hours away from where I live. Riding in a small cramped car is not fun especially when you have to share the back seat with your younger annoying sister who sounds like a cat scratching a chalkboard when she is singing along to her Kidz Bop CD. ;)

  4. Prince of Persia (2008).

It's not as good as previous POP games, battles are not as fast paced or engaged since you only fight one enemy at once. The world is huge, but the experience is quite repetitive so far. PC version glitches, Alika will sometimes get stuck in mid air, walk in the air or get stuck on the geometry, however it doesn't break the game in any way. PC version also has a memory leak and controls feel sluggish in some instances.

  5. Why you should watch Stargate Universe, aside from the show being cool in general.

And for those of you arguing, how about a compromise? ;)

She's probably the thinnest chick i've ever seen with such large sweater puppies. Yes, I realize her tits will sag over time just as well but realistically, unless they're A to low B-cups... all women's breasts will sag.

    Enjoy them while you can!

Sort of hot, but big breasts are a big turn off in general to me. I like them no bigger than a B or C cup, any bigger just seems unpleasant and repulsive to look at..

  6. Sometimes my parents get spontaneous urges to go on short trips. Our last trip which was just over the weekend consisted of a ride two New Jersey after visiting my bro who is currently down by New York City. The traffic down there is horrendous in Jersey, we nearly got rear ended several times. The trip paid off in the end, a decent hotel and dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. I accidentally, well not accidentally ordered the Orleans Steam Pot not knowing it was blazing spicy. My mouth was on fire the whole time we were there.

The ride there and back wasn't comfortable, cramped in a small car with my family the duration of the 4 - 7 hour trip.

  7. I've compiled and uploaded all builds for revision 3972, link to all Dolphin builds can be found in my signature.

For the time being registration isn't required and guests are once again able to download, I decided to try allowing guests to download again to see how things go.

I will also be updating my first post in this thread to contain more recent information, some of the links and information in the first post is outdated. :D

  8. Marriage between a man and a woman isn't by definition a religious thing, but tradition that has been passed down for several generations and exists among several different religions, the union of a man/woman even exists in atheism. The whole issue with gay marriage Is about not slandering or ruining the tradition by allowing something that was and is still not common among the majority of couples or families. If homosexuals (proper term) want some kind of union, let it be a civil union with the benefits of married couples, let's just not call it a marriage by definition.

Usually a marriage is a sanctity between a man and a woman to prepare raising a family, through natural procreation. Artificial insemination exists solely for the purpose of a sterile male partner. Homosexuals can not naturally procreate since they are one in the same sex , thus have to turn to adoption or artificial insemination (if they are female homosexuals).

When I say I am not the typical definition of a religious person or a christian, I mean I follow my own set of beliefs of what I think it acceptable and not anyone else. I hold a belief in a higher power or god, I hold a belief for my own relief that some kind of afterlife exists, that once you die it truly isn't the end. I also attend church on occasion when I get a chance, since worship, preaching, singing are all very good for the soul and help relieve stress. Also church for the community and gathering, helping out less fortunate people.

However I am a bi myself, I listen to rock/metal music, and play violent video games when I want. I however don't smoke, drink, do drugs, and will never tattoo or pierce my body.

  9. I've heard of this religious group/cult, being a Christian myself (Not the typical definition of a "Christian") I was quite disgusted when I heard of this cult and the lack of respect they have, giving common well meaning religious folks a bad name to the general public. :)

  10. All builds for revision 3769 have been compiled and uploaded, you may use the link in my signature to obtain them or use the direct links in this thread/post at the Dolphin forums:

    http://forums.dolphin-emu.com/thread-2176.html

Builds will be uploaded to my Skydrive about an hour after they are uploaded to the downloads section on my forum, so keep an eye on the link below if you don't feel like registering:

  11. I've compiled and uploaded revision 3655, uploaded to the downloads system on my site (Link is in signature).

All standard and JITIL builds have been uploaded, for anyone who doesn't want to bother with registration I'll be uploading these to my Skydrive account in a bit

The annoying flickering in Mario Galaxy as well as the pull star bug has finally been fixed albeit very few but barely noticeable effects are still missing.

There is no longer any need for the Mario Galaxy graphics hack, in game graphics are displayed fine now without the need for that hack.

  12. It's not that I don't have time for gaming, it just seems like I either outgrew gaming or got bored of it. I used to be an avid gamer, sitting in from of the TV or computer for hours on end to beat that annoying hard to beat boss or complete the game.

Nowadays I can't even play a game for longer than five minutes usually unless it really grabs my interest to engross me in the game itself. I have over 30 - 60+ PC games, very few of which have been completed or played.

I suppose maybe I am overwhelming myself too much with gaming, that I grew impatient of it. A few weeks or months without gaming or a computer might regain my interest in the gaming world, then again it might not. :nosweat:

  13. It's a bit sad, that nothing really happened lately in the emulation community so there isn't much to talk about for the beginners.

The standard posters here are still posting the same amount as before, but there aren't all returned... where's ryan btw?

There has been some really important advancements in Gamecube an Wii emulation, Zelda WW/TP (GC), Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart: Double Dash have sound and music emulated now somewhat decently. It isn't perfect yet however, some sounds are incorrect and there seems to be a certain loudness to the volume of these games likely due to the samples or formats not playing at the right frequency.

I'm fairly certain that's news worthy, I haven't seen too much reported about Dolphin which has came so far already since the last official release years ago.

Anyways I haven't noticed anything different in regards to activity here, then again I am not too active myself to take notice of this.

  14. I think I heard of this game, I might pick it up if I ever get the money. I have little money to work with now that I have to pay back a college loan, I should of never failed my classes and got thrown out. :nosweat:

  15. Although I can't provide a rating, I've been playing Mario Galaxy, Zelda: WW/TP (GC) on Dolphin which now has some sounds and music in Dolphin due to the hard work and determination of the Dolphin team to reverse engineer to dsp hardware in the Gamecube/Wii thus emulating the audio somewhat decently but not perfectly as of yet. :nosweat:

  16. W00t!!

Super Mario Galaxy has music now, more DSP groundwork to come. :P

Music is actually clear, not garbled or broken like with the sound in Zelda/Mario in the past revisions..

    http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=3570

Seems there are now no sounds in Windwaker/Twilight Princess for the time being, I'm guessing those changes were reverted and will be added again later.

Thank Luigi2us for this groundbreaking commit. I will be compiling and uploading a new build in a while.

  17. Not sure if this video is/was real, but I'd have to say that was an utterly retarded outburst, over a stupid game no less. If it was real, perhaps the video being posted will force or encourage him to act a bit more mature after the initial humiliation period is over.

I know I would be greatly embarrassed if I acted like this, it was posted publicly and I was humiliated. It would cause me to think twice about my actions the next time around rather than acting like a total idiot.
