  3. ehhhh.... i think im gonna call it quits....i think ill just go out there and buy a new computer preferably a laptop....any suggestions on a cheap computer under $300 if possible that meets at least these specs

    OS Windows XP / Vista

    CPU Pentium4 1.0Ghz

    RAM 256M

Graphic Nvidia Geforce MX or equivalent

    OpenGL ver1.2 or higher

    DirectX Direct 9.0c

  4. i looked at my graphics card report while playin and saw that the "graphics memory in use" kept going up....i quit the game just as it got to 63mb i figured it would crash as soon as it reached 64mb which is the maximum....i know pretty crappy but its all i got....any way of slowing this down or increasing the maximum graphics memory...again without buying anything?

Could be more than just ones video card...or drivers..could be faulty memory..find a copy of knoppix or any other bootable live cd that has memtest32..also try disabling agp fast writes in your boot-up bios if thats an option..also looking up information regarding your motherboard..try installing intels mobo drivers off their website...while your at it google for your problem and include your mainboard/graphics chip..and lastly check for bios updates for your mainboard..and be very careful with this..however read the changelogs on the bios updates that are available and see if your issue is mentioned...Good Luck

i thought id try out wat u said...but i have no idea where to start...could u give me links, instructions, etc? plz if theres a way of fixing this without having to buy anything i just gotta know...

  6. well its a great day if your willing to sleep in front of the stores the day before and wait in a huge line...u can get new games for half off (usualy like $30 off)...ehh never tried it but maybe ill tag along with a friend this year...

  8. Best bet, seeing as that video chipset is most definitely onboard, would be to go to Intel's website and get the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

Do you know your motherboard model name and/or number? I couldn't possibly help you with retrieving the right driverset without knowing this.

Also know that updating your drivers isn't always going to fix it, BUT also know it's not always the hardware in the case it doesn't.

I had to reinstall Windows XP to fix my WiFi card........it kept cutting out. Don't ask me why, I have NO idea, but I haven't had a problem in over 2 weeks with my WiFi with a fresh install of Windows.

Let's hit drivers first for your motherboard chipset, then if they come separately the video chipset drivers. If that fails, I'd put money on a clean install of Windows fixing it.

uuummm....is this it? im not sure...and if its not could u tell me how to find out?

  10. i called up sony today. they said they need the hard drive so that options out i dont know why the ps3 wont read the memory stick...the icon doesnt come up but the ps3 obviously reads it cuz when i tried formating it worked but i cant do anything else with it...any one know why this could be happenin???

  11. ok now im freaking out. i decided i waz gonna back up just the saved data of my games to my psp memory stick since i dont have anything else bigger than a gig but now i found out that it wont read it either! now what do i do...if i send it to sony theyll delete everything or theyll just give me a new one whick is practicly the same thing....this blows :D

  12. yeah i do but i waz hoping it wouldnt come to having to replace it or have it repaired by sony... wat i wanna know is wat caused it...i played it yesterday... i waz playin metal gear online around 11pm and turned it off after finishing a game session then this morning nothing could be read...just bums me out

  13. ok..ive had my ps3 for almost a year already and its always worked fine but today when i turned it on it wouldnt read any discs...blu ray or dvds. the icon in the top right corner goes on for about 6 sec and it stops like if it read the game but the game wont come up... same thing happens with movies...any suggestions???
