  1. Another problem: I save screenshot (in raw or filtered way,I try both,I don't know the difference..) but I don't see the picture in the black screen in the rom list of the emulator. Why?

    Thank you very much

Actually, I don't think screenshots you take with the emulator are automatically shown for the ROM preview.

If you take a screenshot it is dumped into the "screenshots" folder. But the ROM previews are taken from the "previews" folder. If you want to make it appear as a preview I think you need to take it out of the screenshots folder, change it to the same format as the images in the "previews" folder, give it the same name as the zip name of the ROM you want to use it for, and then dump it in the previews folder.

Anyway, I've got previews for most of the ROMS. I've uploaded them here: Link

Just download that and then dump all the images in your previews folder.

  2. What's FBA-XXX Pro (0.2.95.23)?

Since this doesn't sound like it's the latest Pro build at all ("patched"?) I wouldn't be too quick to jump at it. Especially considering there will be several set updates and additions in the next build.

He also says he has a "list of games which do not work", well if he is using v1.01 then that list should only have two sets on it.

What two are you talking about? It looks like that guys listed all the non-working clones.

Anyway, that list looks fairly accurate, but I think kof2003a works now. But it still looks like he is using an old build.

  3. So are you trying to use a single ISO image?  HuGO needs ISO+MP3 files.  So for Fighting Street you should have 27 files: 2 ISO files, 24 MP3s, and 1 CUE.

I've got all that. I put the 2 iso files(tracks 2 and 26) and the 24 mp3 files in a bin file and ran the cue file as if I were trying to run something in PCSXbox. It just won't work. :clapping:

No, they don't go in a BIN, they need to all remain as separate files. Just put them in a folder inside the ROMS directory and then launch from the CUE.

  4. just to make sure:

    Samsho5 m1d 49C9901A  & Mslug5 m1 4A5A6E0E are still unavalible?

also anyone have a patch for fr2ch c roms? patch site i went to didn't list the game.

Just to clarify this for everyone: Both of those files are still private.

There is a samsho5 m1 file that is floating around with the CRC 49C9901A, but it is a FAKE. You can tell because it does not have the proper sha1 checksum as listed in Johnboy's DAT.

This is the info from the DAT for both of those files:

    game (

    name mslug5

    description "Metal Slug 5"

    romof neogeo

    rom ( name 268-m1.bin size 524288 crc 0x4a5a6e0e sha1 0xdf0f660f2465e1db7be5adfcaf5e88ad61a74a42 )

    )

    game (

    name samsho5

description "Samurai Shodown V / Samurai Spirits Zero (set 1)"

    romof neogeo

    rom ( name 270-m1.bin size 524288 crc 0x49c9901a sha1 0x2623e9765a0eba58fee2de72851e9dc502344a3d )

    The fake samsho5 m1 has a sha1 of:

    0x600e3d8f45358e4e52954d05c6750e431025debb

I got this info from some people over at Romshare forums. So those of you that think you have the samsho5 m1 probably just have the fake.

  5. Not sure you can do anything about this, but sf2ce13 doesn't seem to be running correctly. When you run the game a lot of the graphics are missing. You can't see the map or character's faces when at the character select screen. Then when in a fight you can't see the static background. All you see are the fighters and any background element that is animated.

But maybe that's as good as this ROM runs? I tried to run it on FBA and WinKawaks. FBA doesn't even recognize it and WinKawaks wouldn't either. But I was able to get WinKawaks to run it by renaming the ROM files to match sf2koryu since it uses the same number of ROM files as sf2ce13. When I did that I got WinKawaks to run the game but it looked identical to the way FBAXXX Pro runs the game.

  6. Is it games from all the categories too (CPS1, CPS2, NeoGeo)? Also, how noticeable is the problem? I've tried a few games and really haven't noticed anything. Did you delete the previous FBAXXX save before trying the new version? That can sometimes cause issues (if you don't delete the old save).

  7. I haven't run into any bugs yet, but apparently that 270-m1.bin rom (49c9901a) is available now for samsho5, so does that mean that the 270-m1_decrypted.bin can be removed now?

Also, I noticed that kof2k3up seems to be more commonly known as kof2k4up and that is what the title screen says as well.

Just a couple of possible changes for future builds.

  8. You actually can't request ROMS on this site... but there is a big FBAXXX Pro ROM collection on one of the major Xbox torrent sites right now. I don't think I can really say any more than that... and maybe not even that much :clapping:

  9. i don't suppose new options will be added? here just a few ideas:

i would love to see a multiable rom directory location option much like mameox/mamedox have.

FBAXXX already has 8 ROM directories. On your XBox go to the FBAXXX install directory anf look in the "ini" folder. Find the "fbaxxx.ini" file and copy it to your PC. Open it up in a text editor and you should see this section near the top:

    szAppRomPaths[0] d:\roms\

    szAppRomPaths[1] d:\roms\cps1\

    szAppRomPaths[2] d:\roms\cps2\

    szAppRomPaths[3] d:\roms\ng\

    szAppRomPaths[4] d:\roms\others\

    szAppRomPaths[5] d:\emu\roms\

    szAppRomPaths[6] d:\emu\roms\cps1\

    szAppRomPaths[7] d:\emu\roms\cps2\

Those are all the places FBAXXX scans for ROMS. You can probably just edit one of those paths and then copy the ini file back to the ini folder.

  10. I'd rather delay the inevitable then speed up the process.

Hey, if we continue to pollute the planet like we do, it's inevitable that it's going to die. Since it's going to die anyways, let's just spray as much aerosol into the air and destroy the ozone now! Might as well, it's going to dissapear anyways!

But not preparing yourself may indeed be speeding up the process. That's exactly where you miss the point. And your pollution analogy doesn't fit this situation at all. Preparation as a means of deterrence isn't analogous at all to your example.

  11. Honestly. Anyone who supports this crap has given a new definition to misanthropy. A new way to murder; a new way to control; a new way to frighten.

Great. This is just what we need: Another reason to lose all hope for mankind.

But you miss the point. If we don't invest in these sort of technologies someone else will. And don't bother spouting any facts or figures about other countries' military spending. Yeah, there a plenty of other countries with much smaller military budgets, but they are banking on countries like the US to come to their aid if their time of need ever comes. Sure, I'll agree that we [the US] get involved where we don't need to too often, but don't think for a second that investing in military technologies is a waste. Sure, it may be sad that the things have to be this way, but they do. Don't be so naive.

  12. Do tell what was the error? What was screwed up about it? No support for the system is the screw up? What? huh? 32X = garbage. Saturn = good!

Meh... the Saturn launched with little advertising, had a $400 price tag which wasn't worth it, was difficult to program for so all the early games looked like sh!t (yeah, I had one), and was following the utter failures of the 32X and Sega CD. The Saturn had few gems in it's library by the end, but it had horrible start and was thus doomed when the PSX hit.

  13. Actually, I think he's right about blocks being 16 KB. Also, to be exact, the E partition is 4895 MB.

So if his calculation is correct about having 192083 blocks used (roughly 3001 MB), then:

    4895 - 3001 = 1894 MB

    1894 * 1024 = 1,939,456 KB

    1,939,456 / 16 (block) = 121,216 Blocks Remaining

But I'm not sure if the XBox specifically reserves any of the space for caching. I know there is a cache folder on E: and I've read where some people stated that if you go below 1 GB free on E: that it can affect the performance of some games. But since I've never filled my E: partition to that much I can't say for sure if that is accurate.

  14. Some people reported having trouble launching the game from certain dashboards. XBMC seemed to be the best for launching the game. If you have XBMC installed, start XBMC and launch MAT3 from there. Once you have the game up and running, just reset the XBox and go back to your standard dashboard (EvoX, UnleashX, whatever you are using) and try launching MAT3 from there. Launching once from XBMC fixed the problem for most people.

If you are already using XBMC as your dash, then I'm not sure what the problem is... you could try launching from some of the other dashboards.
