  1. 64% of Online Gamers Are Female

You wouldn't realize it while playing with most of the jerks that play Halo 2, but 64% of the nation's 117 million online gamers are actually women, according to Nielsen Entertainment's third annual Active Gamer Benchmark Study, released this morning.

The study's announcement release doesn't break down what games they're playing, though we expect sites like pogo.com, which feature a multitude of Flash-based, more simplistic games, are rather high on the list. Even more surprising is how many older gamers are playing. While the teenage market dominates in numbers, the study says more than 15 million gamers, about 8%, are actually at least 45 years old.

Americans have luck, they have a lot of girls gamers. I wonder if there are girls in this forum.. :)

  2. Tekken girls get real... and naked

Oh no, PSP Fanboy is using sex to promote its site again! It's true... they say that sex sells, and the people behind Tekken know it. For a Maxim photo shoot, they had some models dress up (or down) as Tekken models. Taking some inspiration from Dead or Alive, the photographers then placed those models under running water. The following video won't disappoint you... unless you're at work and your boss realizes what kind of pevert you are. So, I'm giving this an EXTREMELY NOT SAFE FOR WORK notice. Enjoy!

    Hi folks,

I have been working on this for ages, and maybe you guys would like to know what's going on.

I am working on a PSP Emulator for the PC (32bit currently), called VirtualPSP. It is a fully working PSP, but now on your PC. It does read the dumped flash (like devhook) and emulates it. (I'm not gonna post all the technical details here, because only 1% will understand what i mean lol). Here are the first screenshots of me playing my dumped ISO of Daxter.

As you see it is working, but it runs very slow. Maybe it is my PC (1.3Ghz/256MB RAM), but i'll try to fix this and let some people try.

Online play (infrastructure) will be available too, all connecting Peer to Peer. (My server will function as a main host). I need some time to get this fully working though. I can connect to my LAN pc's, but it freezes when the game's loading. I'll try to fix this anyway.

Maybe i can add Ad-hoc function through the internet? (Like KAI)

And no, i'm not gonna release this *yet*. It can take a while, but if i need some testers, i'll PM you.

I would like to recieve some feedback of my work.

Fake? Who knows, I hope to see at least a public version soon. Also there are some screenshots that you can see here :)

  4. From the NG: DEV.TEAM blog

As the cartridge done well, we're now preparing a release of Last Hope on NEO·GEO CD and Dreamcast for December 2006.

Both versions will feature a high quality CD Digital Audio soundtrack. Dreamcast version will be a pixel perfect port with scanlines on 240p in progressive mode. Be sure that the game will run on NTSC and PAL systems on 60hz; Region Free. Just like every original Dreamcast game you can play Last Hope without any additional requirements.

Currently we're negotiating with an publisher for world wide release.

It is nice, I can't wait for the next Dreamcast game. More info about Last Hope here :-)
