  1. 11 weeks left in school and then I go out on my placement, and hopefully get hired on where I want to go...a nice ~5hr/450km drive north of where I live now, and comfortably even farther away from all the fucking retards in the GTA.

You're in school again? That's awesome! What are you studying, Cinder?

  2. Major cities and towns are pretty much watched by CCTV.

    This one though...

My local park had a new centre set up, guess what's there on top of a tall poll?

A rotating CCTV camera. The fucker swivelled for me as I was just strolling around.

    Creeping authority...

That's intense! What would happen if you gave the camera a middle finger?

  3. A@H still has its regulars but isn't the same site it was a few years ago. Only a few posts a day now in the off topic so its pretty quiet.

I wonder why they never added new subforums....it's as if the Nintendo 64 and Playstation 1 just came out haha. But, then again, the community was always so thriving that I don't think it ever mattered, considering the most popular emulators were usually between those two categories. Amazingly, the site looks the same as it did in 2002.

  4. Was wondering if your freedom of speech has has any restrictions put on it?

    The UK has had loads.

What I mean is, can you be as offensive as you want to be over there?

Talk about anything to a group of people or is some stuff shaped like the UKs?

Such as in the UK you cant use certain words, or speak the truth about some things, and lots of protests have restrictions placed up on them and have to be in principle agreed with the authorities before hand.

As far as I know, as long as you are not threatening the lives of anybody, you can say just about anything. The classic example of what you can't do is suddenly scream, "FIRE!", when there is none. Of course, if you talk offensively, expect someone to eventually respond depending on what environment you're in.

The UK overall seems a lot more watched and under control than the US from the documentaries I've seen. Don't you guys have cameras literally everywhere?

  5. Yeah that's right.. we got a chatroom. It can only hold a max of 5 members, but I think that's good enough. I also have it set for only Premium Members (100+ posts) and above. Same forum rules apply to chatroom.

I added this as a way to keep in touch with you guys, as I'll be hanging in there from now on.

We did a little spring cleaning here on 1Emulation for one of the most popular emulators currently in the world, PPSSPP, which emulates the Sony PSP handheld. We have now updated all the PPSSPP files in 1Emulation's Download Section to the very latest releases and added the android versions as well! Enjoy! :-)

    For Android:

Discovered this while looking at our real time webstats. People are constantly checking that thread out hahaha. We need some more men's corner discussions!

Oh yeah... the most downloaded emulator?

    #1: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/files/file/8-ppsspp-x32/ @ 20,303 downloads!

Only problem is that it's an older version (just updated them)... time to update a lot of these suckers and upload some mobile emulators (just added PPSSPP android releases... anyone would like to add some other stuff pretty please? :-)).

  8.

Dark Reaper from A@H here. I'm trying to get in contact with Magnis, does anyone know his whereabouts as of late?

He's been AFK for years now. What's the urgency? and welcome to 1emu man! Give yourself an avatar and make yourself comfy. :-)

We used to keep in touch outside of forums, but lost touch a while back. Was trying to reach out to him again for something. I was hoping someone here would be close to him, as he co-founded this forum.

I haven't been in the emulation scene in a long time due to life but I might come back, depending on a few circumstances.

Yeah, I wish I could help you, as I have wondered what has happened to him as well. I won't be surprised if he'll just simply drop by and say hello again one of these days.

I should tell you -- we are called 1emulation -- but much like A@H -- our most popular topics are non-emulation related. So feel free to talk about whatever! :-)

A cool place to start: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/forum/101-mens-corner-swag/

Oh yeah, if you click the yellow fist icon under a profile, you will access our own forum attack system!

  9. You don't need an author's permission. The large majority of authors welcome the most widespread availability of their emulators. If it's a problem, I'm sure they'll let us know!

First thing, download the emulator from the official site, and rename it to include the version and bits (32 or 64). This is so users know what they are downloading.

Now, go to Downloads, scroll down a bit to Highest Rated, and click on the PPSSPP version you wish to update.

Scroll to the bottom and click on Upload new version.

In Step 1, select and upload the new zipfile that you just obtained, click Attach File to actually get it to the server.

You can leave the old version there if you wish; or you can move the mouse over it, and the option to delete appears on the right.

    Scroll down, and update

    - The file version

    - Change Log (or leave it blank if you have no changelog)

    - Official Release Date (note it's in American format - MM/DD/YYYY)

Check your work, then click on Update Submission. And you're done.

The only drawback doing it this way is it doesn't give you any credit, however the aim has been accomplished.

These are wonderful instructions! FYI - the system will credit you if you upload new emulators/apps!
