Figures. Just made an account there. Though the download speed is very slow and doesn't even support resuming in IDM.

But how do I "get" the Artifacts? there is nothing clickable there.

Sounds simple. Though I've heard that other stuff often gets changed too, like mame.ini and could result in conflict?
  7. Don´t click on "build-windows-gcc" scroll down a bit more and get the Artifacts. Check always the date when comes over new one's each time you go get the git. If you go to mamegit as well you can grab the latest test build from the official mame. Only works the green one's the cross one's still on test.

Usually simply overwrite the old executable with the new one is enough. This will keep all your options, settings, scores and so on.

When I click on CI (Arcade), it takes me to a page where there is "build-windows-gcc". But when I click on it, it doesn't show anything to download. I'm still not clear as to what stuff I need to keep and what stuff I need to overwrite.
  10. Better you stay as it is then. If you want to save the scores then just download the github version only and trade the .exe. Backup your old .exe before. https://github.com/Robbbert/store1/actions this versions are compiled later after the official release as been made of with new games and etc... For example the first one was released 12 days ago, but after the official arcade build being released. To get the file click on it and grab the Artifacts down below. If you are affraid to lose any score just backup as well all the folders less the samples and the roms. Don´t delete any nvram and cfg, it will remove the scores.

I don't understand the git update thing you mentioned. I just downloaded Arcade64 from the Mameworld website. I guess that's the public release? So you're saying that I have to copy over all new files into the older version? But I have made some changes to the ui, enabled hiscore plugin, enabled shaders among other things. Won't all those be overwritten by doing that? Also by "remove nvram and cfg files" do you mean I have to remove them from my older version? But then that would mean that I'll have to go through the long writing process of all those chd-based games again when I run them.
  12. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to the new driver, when you get there.
  13. LEMON my alias or Jonas Jago my name I discovered files named for the Gate Fail game converting kit I will check if it is good too and write a driver for it also
  14. @LemonJonasIt will be added to MAME and ARCADE64 in the next couple of days. What credits would you like?

  16. Wow, this is great. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Trade the arcade.exe only for git updates: https://github.com/Robbbert/store1/actions For Public release trade all files over the older version. It works for me. Only remove nvram and cfg files less default.cfg. Enjoy.

Is there a quick way to update Arcade64 without losing my settings? I also have a question regarding the recent C&D. Will Akai Katana continue to be available in future builds of Arcade64?
  19. Someone already rip textures but not the MCU yet: https://www.spriters-resource.com/arcade/galspanicii/
  20. It's the data on the MCU we need with regards to extraction then the game will be fully playable
  21. Hi there thanks for sharing this incredibly rare prototype Regards
  22. is this irem kung fu 2 the kung fu master 2 prototype ?
  23. I Can confirm this. After i beat the level 2 as well and go in to the 3rd level, i press F3 again and a different girl texture appears! Is there a tool to extract the textures?

  27. Hello my friends and thank you much for keeping alive the best version of MAME In 1999 I read the ROM data from ARCADE boards I had at the time. I tried to emulate them and was unsuccessful in my attempts. I forgot about them until this year but was able to locate one of the ROM data dumps In 2000 the ARCADE boards were sold to a man in Japan for the amount of 500$ for 5 games The games were IREM Dice Game, IREM Kung FU 2, DECO Tape Hello Gateball, Tazmi Grey Burner and +1 with Gate in the name but I don't remember the maker. I can't see any of these in ARCADE or MAME The data for Dice Game I can not find and the Tape could not be read. Grey Burner I did not read I have recovered the data for Kung Fu 2 and tried again to emulate it The same problem as before, there are no backgrounds, it uses protected blitter for tile layer Can you or MAME softdevs help here or add it in MAME for safekeeping I have placed the files in https://anonfiles.com/P913f8C1x7/KungFu2DriverROMs_zip Thank you for any help you can provide Jonas Jago

    Sorry, 0.92.6 already !

For now don't be too impatient, it's a crazy idea which will take quite some time, especially since I don't want to spend all my time on it... Oh well, we'll see in 1 or 2 weeks...
