Ah, a babomb....how I loathe them....
You just have to start using a better program than Paint IMO

I do paint for easy peasy 5 second stuff. I don't exactly have dreamweaver or freehand so tell me what to use :(

Well, you could use Adobe Photoshop or ImageReady. As well as PaintShop Pro.
They each have many options like transparencies and whatnot.
If you intend to download them I think they're relatively large files...
