There is one thing that I hate about mame.  For some reason it has crappy gamepad support.  When I use my sidewinder in mame, nothing works!  I have to move everything on the direction pad slow or it doesnt' register.  Yet, on Kawaks everything runs fine as if I was playing it on my xbox (which he wishes he was playing kof2003 on right now).

I hate to say it but Sidewinder sux (lol nothing new when someone bitches about microsoft..). I use to use a psx to usb adapter that i bought from a game store for 20 bucks. It worked great. Worked in every single emulator i used. Nothing wrong with mame. I still don't get why mame is such a problem...

i tried out the winkawaks 1.48 version of kof2k3 and the picture is HORRIBLE..the picture was so pixelated and blocky

That picture is pixelated because he changed the resolution of the picture from high to low. It has nothing to do with how the game really looks. Look at his other picture of his desktop, it looks fine then.

Wow james, I can just picture you being the Hulk ripping out of your clothes. RARRGHHH!!! JAMES BANNER! NOOOO! *SMASH*

Over on the other forum I belong to, someone is reconstructing the p roms to work on other emu's. At least the cartridge ID is present when using rom data maker special...and that's a big start from two weeks ago.

At least you can see the SNK playmore symbol at the bottom of the screen. Need to use the uni-bios though to get there.
Check out romshare...

future nebula dat..Keep your fingers crossed!!!

When you dl and start a normal Kawaks version, the standard blitter is checked by default, which interpolates the pixelated graphics. The resolution of the Neo*Geo hardware ist, compared to your desktop very low.
So if you resize the window of kawaks to 200-300% the image will be pixelated, just as if you were resizing a *.bmp image.
Well, on the dev version this interpolation is not checked, you have to do it by yourself.

Removed some very harsh words :D
