Are you sure you're not using the DOS port of MAME, ghetto?

omfg!! you're kidding me right?

the dos mame is a lot smoother and faster than any mame32. I like using mameplus with dos. Hell, when there's problems with your rom, usually the problem will be diagnosed on the command line. So don't be talking crap about the dos mame :)

I'm not talking crap about the DOS MAME. That would be my choice of emulator if my computer would be faster. But as some may or may not know, running DOS-based apps in XP can cause problems.

I'm on winxp, and I get no problem running stuff off the dos

For some people, not all. Besides, XP doesn't even have DOS, just a DOS emulator.
