I am pretty new to emulators and i have been having fun playing power stone 1 and 2 but whenver i load sonic adventure 2 i cant use my keyboard to play. I have 2 different downloaded roms "i tried to download twice" please help the game loads no errors.

So the keyboard works with Ps1 & 2?
That's odd. I dont know my emulation as well as I used to but a keyboard problem like that is strange.

Found this:

Chankast has some problems with certain games. Try using NullDC. I play Sonic Adventure 2 perfectly with this emulator. No problems whatsoever. You can download it from here it's already preconfigured and BIOS files included:

Which Dreamcast Emulator are you experiencing said issues with?
