 My Samsho5 also had the bank problem...

I downloaded the ssv_p1.rom file from page39 and replaced it with my old one.

Now, when i run it in the EGCG Neoragex H1, it displays a whole lot of little

blue squares with white squares boarded around them....

when i push '1' it displays all these setups ( dates, sound, memory card etc..).

What do i do now????

did you read my post affter fox_x looks like you did not

i will say this one last time this fixes the bank erorr

also is the lastest fix http://www2.netexplo..... 15f3334f.rar

James...
Thanks but the fact is I already read your one too....
The p1.rom files you guys posted cannot be extracted.... so I just changed the name into ssv_p1.rom without extracting it.

There was nothing to extract..

So when I replaced it with my older p1.rom file it didn't work and went into some crazy screen full of blue and white squares....

It also flocked up my KOF2001....@#%!#^%...

that guy from page39 said to extract his p1.rom file but really, it could not be extracted....( i used winrar...)

yah...that is all for now, I am so goddamm frustrated...

thanks for tryin' to help
(PS: your link above doesnt work..)

my samsho5.zip has been working fine in nebula, mame, and kawaks (w/loader). does anyone have a p1 that unlocks the boss and poppy? i want to use the dog, but the dat files that i have been creating haven't been working. thanks.

EDIT: It was my problem with a loader, stupid newbie mistake.

I must be -really- out of the effing loop.

When attempting to get SSV to work, I end up with

270-p1.bin NOT FOUND
000-lo.lo NOT FOUND
270-c2.bin NOT FOUND

Went and pulled the supposed fixes, and still nada. I've
obviously missed some manner of update, because the
whole SNK-Go-ByeBye thing in MAME is news to me.

Currently using the.78.1b version, and I see both SVC
(which I also evidently can't run, for the same file reasons
save that it's 269 rather than 270) and SSV, but for some
reason I can't find a working update of the p1 files, among
the slew posted priorly; not a one has worked.

So, anyone mind PMing what, exactly, has gone down, that
precipitated these changes?

your rom sets have the wrong roms thats for sure you are also missing a file from the neogeo.zip (bios)

samsho5.zip
270-p1.bin", CRC(611a6687) is needed
270-c2.bin", CRC(7b444985) is needed

and theres no point updating roms in mame unless you know for sure the emulator needs them.... changing the roms will mess it up .

in any case you should allways keep a back up .
mame roms are in bin format and use numbers instead of letters.

when did you download mame32 78.1b ?
as it was updated yesterday.

mame32 78.1b is my compile if you have AIM please contact me my screen name is jlaing14 ......
