Hahaha, thats a fun idea, I bet its possible. You could someone wire something up so that when a quarter is inserted it triggered the "select" button on the Xbox. Depends on how thsoe things work.

I've done this for two xbox cabs. If you look at most standard coin mechanisms you can watch the quarter fall through them and at the bottom there should be a switch very similar to the switches you'll be using for buttons. Just wire these up like the control panel buttons to the Back button on a controller (or assign it on an ipac if you're using one, which I suggest) and you're good to go. You can even daisy chain the coin mec to another hidden Back button so you've got a credit button AND the coin slots working.

If I ever owned a store of any kind I would do this, and have a different arcade game every day! I don't know why people don't do that.

Hey, I got your pm but was going to post here anyway for public consumption. The ipac connects to a pc using the ps2 port, but theres an xbox adapter that can go in between the ipac and xbox. Check out ultimarc.com for more info http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html . Then you've just got to read up on the ipac itself. There are lots of different versions, but for the xbox you need the older PS2/keyboard style: http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html

Look around www.ultimarc.com for more info. Get the ipac and adapters from them its totally worth it (or get them off ebay and save on shipping). Then get your joysticks and buttons from www.groovygamegear.com if you're in the US.

Also, best site EVER http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm (besides 1emu of course).

Good luck!

You can also hack a Xbox controller wired
to the micro-switches of the coin mech.
