Only if you have a mod chip. But I'm not 100% sure.

Here's an idea.

You could conveniently borrow it from a friend or rent it.

You might not want to pay $10 to rent a Wii game, but look at it from this perspective. You're paying $10 to hack a Wii, and you get a good game to play for a week.

You don't need to buy a game to perform a hack that takes roughly 5 minutes.

No Wii roms that I know of. You can burn copies of your games, but from what I read there are some slow reads and errors. I think you can play japanese backups but same problem, slow and glitchy.

Shoma, I think you are confusing homebrew with backups...

NO!
I know I'm confusing homebrew with backups!
Im just not too sure what homerews are, I used to think there were just another form of backups.
Which is why i never comment on any homebrew breakthrough.
So, might as well fiz my Achilles heel now,
Let me get this straight: we cant dl "backups" then burn them, then play them on the wii......USing the wii homebrew channel or any of its sub applications!?

Yes, but the more popular games run better than I expected, so no one should dismantle any backup compatibilities.

And to date there are no other software mods like this that will allow you to play backups for the Nintendo Wii?
