Male, espeicllay in fighting games. They're usually easier to use and stronger.

In fighting games I generally go guys for the same reasons you just said, except when I'm playing dead or alive 3 because uh........of stuff :)

Obviously playing a female character is good in the right game. Eg Samus in Metroid or Lara Croft.

In any online games I play I'm male, it might be illegal to be now...or I might of read something wrong. I know everquest seems to have banned it and I think something else now too...
In any other games I'm just whatever.

hrm, I seem to have stated male being banned. I meant playing as the opposite sex. And Ragnarok Online was the other game to prevent this from happening. It was a clever plan to encourage relationships between players IMO.

Oh and I should add that I have never gone a woman in any RPG where you get to choose your sex. But hey, I'm not a sexy lady so why would I choose a female character?

For fighting games I usually always use a female, dont really know why I just fight better with them.
All the other game I use males.
I have been using alot of female avatars as of late though

yeah like if you guys have ever played tribes..... being a female player as opposed to male is a faster person for some odd reason, hence, many perople choose female over male.
