Apparently Kazaa lite is okay but the pro versions have lots of spyware and can edit the registry of your system. Kazaa is for babies anyway, if you want a real file-sharing program try a direct-connect program like DC++ or Soulseek. It may be a little harder to use than Kazaa but you are guaranteed ten times as many hits, if you know where to look (there is a good list of DC emu hubs on this website, in the Gameshare section). And the transfer rate can be faster anyway. If you have installed Kazaa (or ICQ) I strongly recommend getting Ad-aware 6 by Lavasoft - it is a free download and scans your computer for spyware. I had 144 separate bits of spyware on my first scan! They had been crippled by my internet security, but it hadn't removed them. I think it was slowing my system down a fair bit.
