Is there any sort of swap trick or boot disc\ cartridge i can snag for the sega saturn to let me play backup cds? im not too keen on the current emulators for it now.

Find out which saturn you have first, does your saturn have oval buttons or circile buttons?
If oval you have model 1
If circile you have model 2.

You need an origanal game for the swap trick to work, i know i have done it...
Theres some timing involved and a small modification to be made inside the saturn too,

Here

Model one swap trick info at this link

The swapping process looks complicated as hell. Does anyone here know where I can buy a modded Saturn? It would be easier for me since I have never played a Saturn.

rip open your saturn!!!
Tape down the little crappy cd censor thing at the back, oncve that done your cd laser will scan and not stop when you open the tray.

Put in an origanal game, let it scan it, watch the lights for acessing the cd for security from the origanal Cd, wait for the gap, and pluck the cd from the saturn, bang in your burned game, VOILA!!!!

Let's not play Dr. Frankenstein again. Threads are left dead for a reason.
