Wow, I haven't tried it yet (no gamecube isos), but it sounds very promising. Who would have thought there would be a playable Gamecube emulator released before a Dreamcast emulator? In fact, the x-box and ps2 emulators are coming along quite nicely as well.
Weirdy
I heard that only 1 game is truly emulated for now

That would be Bust-A-Move 3000, yes?

You know why its been emualted beofre the rest?
Because nintnedo tried to make it Un Emulatabile!!!1!

So these coders see it as a challenge i guess.

rotf lmao

that is the funniest avatar i have ever seen.
that's the one reason i started posting here. omg that is so mean but funny as hell. btw GC backups can be played on normal dvds. i read somewhere a while back that they just tookm the tope off the gamecube and just left it exposed and ran the games. not sure tho but if somone wants to try it, go ahead but there have been success from what i've been told.

A backup gc game will not work in a gc unless you swap it with the same game (boot real game, swap in backup of that same game)
PokeParadox
no, pointless as that is, it won't work. When you take a disc out of a GC and put another back in, it starts all protection chcks from scratch, ie checking the barcode. So it will reject the backup even if it's of the same game.

One solution, buy your Gamecube games!
Shibathedog
um, actually to avoid the security checks...you just tape down the sensor inside so it doesnt know you opened it...

My Theory: Make a bootdisc that pretty much brings you to a menu with one option: Start Game

you tape down the sensor before using it, and then all you do is take out the boot disc and put in your backup

hell, it could even let you play imports

huh.gif Are you saying that I don't? I have two GC isos that I don't own the originals for, and those are 18 wheeler and Animal Crossing.
The former I am yet to play and the latter will probably never be released in the UK so unless they do release it officially here I can't buy it and I ain't importing!

And I think the tape idea has been tried and it still checks for the barcode...
