ok I have all the files I need however I'm confuse about the whole process of making it work, do I make a different folder for my K I? and put the file with the roms files? or just have the folder named "kinst" where my mame folder is

roms --- kinst.zip

roms --- kinst --- kinst.chd


In other words, make a folder called "kinst" from in your roms folder.
Then put the chd into the new folder.

hm I did that and I still wasn't to load up KI on my mame32k I left the zip file in the roms section and left the CHD file in the kinst folder. does it matter if I have part 2's CHD in the kinst folder too?

You mean kinst2.chd? Put it into it's own kinst2 folder.


Oh, you're using mame32k which is incredibly ancient. The chd was different then, you may have a hard time finding the right version.

yup I just realized that you have to look on the side for the CHD folder I can play it on mamefx and mame plus, but the only reason why I still use mame32k is b/c that's what people use to play online still unless it's SFIII, but oo well I guess I'm just going to have to use plus now for online there still stuck with the mame32k on kalliera

oo ya I guess i'm on my own with knowing what files I need for the old school mame32k to work huh? I know its possible I seen them using mame32k on kalliera however like you said it's going to be a pain to find it
