I try it, but i find the characters blur.

So I ask those who emule well kof xi, if I have everything set up correctly
Agozer
Exactly how it is supposed to be, seeing how the game wasn't designed to run on computer monitors nor emulators for that matter, but (gasp!) regular television sets (CRT or LCD notwithstanding).

You can control the blur effect and other assorted display stuff from the game's Options menu, if you didn't know.
parky
Thx,

In the menu of the game or the emulator?
Agozer
Re-read my post; I already told you.

Ho ok, thx Agozer.
parky
I posted here because I am new in emulation ps2.
I changed the otpions in the game but the characters are still unclear
.

Can you tell me if it pcsx2 configuration is the best to emulate Kof xi. Because may be the fact that the characters is unclear just because it lacks some things in my emulator?
BlackKnight
Can you not double post, pls?

KoF characters are upscaled onto a higher res background and UI. They look blurry normally. It's not your configuration. Agozer already explained that part, too.

Don't be too harsh, BK tongue.gif

BTW, at what speed is this game running on your computer, parky? Normal speed or below the actual speed?

Lol L.S.D ^^

The speed is very good, all is well for the speed.
parky
L.S.D, iam at the maximum quality for fok XI ? or is possible do have better ?
Agozer
Please refrain from continuous quoting. Makes the posts needlessly cluttered and messy.

Please explain "possible do have better". What you see is the intended graphics quality for King of Fighters XI.
parky
I wanted to say that I find the characters blur.

I wanted to say that I find the characters blur.

The reason why characters appear blurry has been explained to you twice already.

Ok sad.gif

I have another question: I launched final fantasy 12, it works fairly well with the settings below except that the cinematics are slow and it does not sound very good.

It is possible to improve the cinematic?

Another question: It is possible to safeguard its parts? How?
Agozer
Safeguard which parts, and what do you mean by "safeguard"?

Also, have you enabled multicore support in PCSX2? Without that, the game will be slow, and even if you heve, some games will still be slow. Some games do not have good sound emulation either, AFAIK.
parky
I mean: should we install something special to make and use backup in FF12?

My sentence is OK?

Agozer here is my complete configuration for FF12. Is it to things to change as the plugin, sound, patches, graphics ... ? I want the best configuration of my PCSX2 to play my game prefer ^ ^

My PC configuration:

DirectX DirectX 10.0
Type DualCore processor Intel Core 2 Duo E4300, 2700 MHz (9 x 300)
Name of Asus P5B motherboard (3 PCI, 3 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)

Map Audio Analog Devices AD1988 @ 82801HB Intel ICH8 - High Definition Audio Controller [B-0

Display settings 1680x1050 / 60 Hz

My PCSX2 configuration:

My PCSX2 version = 0.9.4

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ps: I am new in emulation. I apologize in advance for my English. I am French.
Agozer
If you have the original Final Fantasy XII disc, you don't have to makes backups if you don't want to.

If you already have the game as a backup and you are playing either directly from the CD image (ISO or some other format), or by using a copied disc, you don't need to make a backup either. It's not like the data will go bad or anything like that.

Is this what you were asking, or am I still misunderstanding something?

Since you already have dual core enabled in PCSX2, there is not much else you can do to make the game faster, although you can try changing the frame limiting to "Limit" or "Frame Skipping" (why do you keep it in "Normal" I don't understand because it makes some games needlessly too fast).
parky
Thank you for your answers Agozer,

1 - So if I have understood all my settings are well except: limiting the frame?

2 - I wanted to talk to safeguard progress in the game you understand?

BlackKnight
If I understand you correctly, you are not talking about backing up the game media, but rather saving you progress in the game, correct?

If so, then no- you don't need to download or install anything extra for that.

Try phrasing your questions in French too. I am a little out of practice but it's worth a shot. Also, by 'safeguard it's parts' do you mean save your progress in the game?
parky
YES !!!!! hehe save progress in the game smile.gif

Ok BlackKnigh.

So, : if I have understood all my settings are well except: limiting the frame?
Agozer
With your current Frame Limiting setting, the emulator runs as fast as your system allows it to (i.e. even faster than 60 frames per second if possible).

"Limit" caps the speeds at 100%, meaning 60fps for NTSC and 50 fps for PAL.

"Frame Skip" as the name suggests, skips some frames in animations making the emulation faster if your system is not fast enough to keep a constant 100% speed. This can break certain games or introduce unwanted side effects in some games, but you should try it if a game is too slow.

"VU Skip", as it read in the configuration window, tries to skip more frames than "Frame Skip" does, but there's an even bigger chance of cetain games breaking or sowing unwanted side effects.
parky
I shall resume from the beginning it will be easier for me. So I deleted my emulator and all these plugins ...

Can you then tell me what version of PCSX2 I must take. What plugins etc., for having the best possible emulator to run FF12.
Agozer
....

You already had everything set up, why did you start from the beginning? PCSX2 already comes with the needed plugins too.
parky
Too late i delete all smile.gif...

So I need to download:

1 - PCSX2 SVN Rev. 0.9.5. 377?

and

2 - ZeroSPU2 0.4.6?

and

3 - Latest: GSdx 0.1.8 (7z)?

That's all?

Ps: I am new in emulation. I apologize in advance for my English. I am French.
Agozer
If you feel like downloading those, yes.
