I'll be happy if they bring Mother 3 over officially. 3D remakes? Well that would depend, since M3 was originally suppose to be in 3D, I'd like to see their effort now that technologies have changed since 99.

As far as releases on western VC, you might get Mother 1 and 2. I really don't know what would come out for nds since all three came out on GBA, if only in Japan. I don't think there are plans to make anymore :( .
...the fan translation of Mother 3 isn't too far away from completion.
